April is National Financial Literacy Month

National Financial Literacy Month focuses on helping Americans realize the importance of financial literacy and developing and maintaining smart money management habits, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing.

On January 13, 2022, the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging presented its bipartisan report on “Financial Literacy in Retirement: Providing Just-in-Time Information and Assistance to Older Americans and People with Disabilities.” The report examines the real-time information and helps older Americans and people with disabilities need as they face changes in their lives, known as “just-in-time” financial literacy. The Senators also held a hearing on this topic, highlighting the report and a brochure for consumers to help them navigate these decisions.
