Staff Highlight: Hello, Courtney Howard!

This April, as we celebrate Family Strengthening Month, we are highlighting the work Courtney Howard, Family Support Specialist. Providers fill out the vacancy survey to indicate when they have space available in their programs, and Courtney uses that data to connect parents seeking care with providers!

For Families: Celebrate Family Strengthening Month with 4-C!

In the world of 4-C's Family Resource Center, we are celebrating Family Strengthening Month in April with a family-focused event: Families in Bloom at 4-C's FRC! As always, feel free to share this event and our Family Resource Center with families in your care!

(This event is designed for parents and caregivers to attend with their children, not for child care providers.)

Although not sponsored by 4-C, we wanted to share these upcoming events with you!

Thursday, April 16: Screening of Dr. Dipesh Navsaria’s virtual presentation about “Reach Out and Read”

• 5:30-7:30 PM
• In Person at Lenz Center, Southwest Tech (1800 Bronson Boulevard, Fennimore) or on Zoom
• A screening of this valuable lecture with community discussions about literacy to follow
• Hosted at SWTC Fennimore
• Registration required for in person or Zoom

Friday, April 17: Family Fun Night in Janesville

• 5:30-7:00 PM
• Event by YWCA Rock County: 1649 S Chatham St, Janesville
• Fundraiser for YWCA Rock County's Child Care Program. Admission: Adults $3, children $2
• "A night packed with hands‑on activities, colorful inflatables, games, and plenty of high‑energy fun for all ages."
• 4-C staff will be there!

Wednesday, April 29: Free Lead Soil Screening Event

• 2:00-6:00 PM
• FREE Lead soil screening
• Hosted at the Platteville Public Library
• Brought to you by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services
