April 2022
On behalf of the Greater Toronto Council, we would like to take this moment to reflect on the current scouting year. We have continued to overcome many barriers and have shown great resilience.

It is due to your actions that our membership has continued to grow.
The Youth continue to enjoy their programming, challenges and adventures.
We would like to personally thank our incredible VOLUNTEERS for keeping the scouting movement alive!

We recognize your dedication to the movement, by the hours you commit each week and by your hard work.
You are all valued members of our Council. THANK YOU!!

Items for discussion will include:
Grizzly Den
Summer Programming / Challenge
Welcome Wagon / Onboarding Assistance
Networking
As mentioned in the February edition of the Woggle – the Grizzly Den is coming to Ontario! The Grizzly Den is a unique opportunity for sections in Ontario to take their adventures to the next level. Generously supported by Hydro One, sections will pitch their adventure ideas to the ‘Grizzlies’ – a group of seasoned Scouters and others – and the ‘Grizzlies’ will award sections a dollar amount to put towards their amazing adventure.

The Grizzly Den is for all sections in Ontario, including Beavers and Cubs. Planned adventures should be age-appropriate and fall within the realistic skill level of the youth involved. An afternoon canoe trip might be too simple for experienced Scouts, but it could be an amazing first-paddling adventure for Beavers!

Stay Tuned – the Grizzly Den is launching on April 8, 2022.

For more information, be sure to attend our next GTC Virtual Town Hall on Wednesday, April 13 at 7 p.m.
A reminder that Camp Adventureland will be open for Day Camp, LIT Training and Family Camp!
