KNPB and PBS: Your Destination for Exploration
April offers a variety of great new programs including an exciting new block of programs on Wednesday evenings. KNPB and PBS invite you to make Wednesday nights your destination for exploration. Episodes of Nature, NOVA and America Revealed  take you below the ocean, around the country, into the skies for new discoveries each week. A Conversation
Join host Brent Boynton for A Conversation, a series featuring  conversations with key voices that address critical issues affecting you, Nevada and the nation as a whole. Airs Friday evenings at 8:30pm and Sunday mornings at 11am. Take a look at this month's featured topics.

KNPB is inviting you to attend a series of free, no-obligation seminars on estate planning and personal finances this spring. The workshops will provide attendees with in-depth information on managing their money and estates. Once-in-A-Lifetime Solar Eclipse Event
The Great Sun Celebration
On May 20, 2012, Reno will be one of a few cities in the world where an annular solar eclipse will be visible in its entirety (weather permitting!) in perfect alignment. Join KNPB for this once-in-a-lifetime event by attending our special Observation Celebration, presented with Fleischmann Planetarium, Astronomical Society of Nevada and Project Science. Art in the Twenty-First Century
Nevada Museum of Art is hosting advance screenings of the sixth season of the Peabody Award-winning documentary series Art in the Twenty-First Century. These free screenings are held every Saturday in April. Art21's sixth season premieres on KNPB Friday, April 13, at 9pm. With a new episode each Friday, April 13-May 4. Adventure Day at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park
Adventure Day
Ancient Egyptians, Medieval Knights, Dinosaurs and Mother Nature join forces for KNPB and Rancho San Rafael Regional Park's Adventure Day from 10am-3pm on Saturday, April 21, 2012. This free event encourages parents and children to "revel in their childhood" by exploring the everyday wonders of the world around them -- you never know what you'll discover at your local park. A Date with Sherlock
Join KNPB Public Broadcasting for a Sunday afternoon "Who Done It" as we celebrate master detective Sherlock Holmes. On Sunday, June 3, 2pm at Reno Little Theater, 147 E. Pueblo Street. Child Safety Fair
Join KNPB at the Child Safety Fair on Saturday, April 14, 2012, from noon to 3pm at 57 Damonte Ranch Parkway, Reno (in the Walmart Shopping Center). The Child Safety Fair will feature a variety of hands-on safety activities, a visit from KNPB's special guest - Bob the Builder, prizes, Free Child ID Kits and so much more. 3 Minute Film Contest
3 Minute Film Competition
Holland Project is accepting submissions for the fourth annual 3 Minute Film Competition. The rules are the same: Make a film. Make it 3-minutes long or less. Put it on a DVD. The submission deadline is April 27, and top films will be screened at the Nevada Museum of Art on May 10. Jury and audience awards will be awarded. Much more at hollandreno.org
Community Event Explores and Celebrates Heritage
Living History Faire
Explore and Celebrate your Heritage at the Living History Faire on Saturday, May 19 at the Miguel Ribera Park on Neil Road in Reno. This free event features presentations, demonstrations and performances. Access the coupon portal. Create a login and choose the coupons you like. The coupon portal will automatically calculate your savings. Once you're finished, download the free coupon printer (which you'll only need to do once) and print away!
