Views from Your Parks: New Webcam Brings Cape Hatteras Lighthouse View to You

Love the view from the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse? Now you can see it anytime, from anywhere! To kick off National Park Week, we are excited to announce that we've partnered with the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau and Surfline to bring you Views From Your Parks – a project that will install webcams in each of your OBX national parks so that you can enjoy these special places from wherever you are. The first webcam is live NOW at the top of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse! This exciting project is only possible through the generous support of our sponsors and donors - thank you! Please note: Due to current lighthouse renovations, the webcam may be out intermittently over the next few months. Thank you for your patience!

New Monthly Series: Coffee with a Ranger Break out your favorite national park coffee mug and join us each month this summer for a new virtual series - Coffee with a Ranger! Each month we'll sit down with a Park Ranger to get a behind the scenes look at what's new and exciting in your OBX national parks. The series kicks off this Wednesday, April 21st at 9:00am EST live on our Facebook page. Our Director, Jessica Barnes Green, will be chatting with Scott Babinowich, Chief of Interpretation for your OBX national parks to talk about National Park Week, the 80th anniversary of Fort Raleigh and what ranger programs you'll be able to enjoy this summer.
