We are excited to announce that the AJC Largo has been undergoing an upgrade to our Access Control System!

Johnson Control has replaced all access panels within suites 110 & 120. You will need a new key fob to gain entry. EPG Operations is currently reaching out to staff to ensure everyone has received the new Key Fob.

In order to receive the updated Fob, the old Key card must be turned in. Any lost, stolen or damaged keycards, will result in the charge of $25.

The Alsobrooks Summer Passport Experience gives County youth the opportunity to develop skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and more with the overall goal of providing meaningful opportunities for our youth that will keep them engaged. We’re bringing back all the fun of last summer, and this year, participants will be able to select a “themed” week of specialty activity programming.

Are you ready for the 2nd Annual Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T.) Youth Mental Health Expo?!

The Prince George’s County Health Department (PGCHD), in partnership with the Volunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas Chapter (VOACC), System of Care STEP Forward, and the Bowie State University Graduate Student Association, are excited to kick off their celebration of

Mental Health Awareness Month with this amazing experience on Saturday, April 29, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Bowie State University’s Student Center.

The G.O.A.T. Youth Mental Health Expo is the only expo dedicated to youth mental health and wellbeing in Prince George's County. It will include a variety of interactive activities and workshops for youth ages 16 to 24

and their families.

These workshops and activities will engage participants with techniques and education to help them manage their mental health effectively and address substance abuse. The expo will also feature health and wellness exhibitions, health screenings and demonstrations, live entertainment, an open mic session, dance contest, food and more!

For workforce professionals, this is an introduction to the topics of toxic stress, trauma, and healing, including definitions, neuroscience, the impacts on program participants and staff and ways that professionals in the workforce system can use this information to better serve people and cultivate healthier workplace cultures.

This webinar is hosted by Employment and Training Administration (ETA) as part of a series of webinars on trauma and healing.

This introductory webinar will discuss the neuroscience behind toxic stress, trauma, and healing and offer practical strategies and tools for workforce professionals to cultivate healthy and more effective services and workplaces for staff, organizations, and participants in workforce programs.

The 2023 Veteran Shark Tank Application is live!

PGCC’s Veteran Shark Tank is Prince George’s Community College’s annual business pitch competition.

Entrepreneurs who are active duty, reservists, national guard, and veterans as well as dependents of any of the aforementioned individuals living in the Prince George's County Maryland and the greater DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) areas are eligible to apply.

Veterans and entrepreneurial dependents of veterans and service members outside of the DMV area may apply as well; however, priority is given to DMV area applicants.

This third annual pitch competition is made possible because of the generosity of our partner United Way. PGCC’s Veteran Services’ focus is to support veterans academically, professionally, financially, and personally. Our mission is to continue supporting those who have selflessly served and protected us.
