Introducing the 2021 Community Conversation

Join us as we separate fact from fiction and foster a dialog to improve our town and planet for the future. The Library’s Community Conversations initiative is back with a full schedule of events for April and May 2021, exploring the impact of our changing environment on the Goffstown community. Topics will include trash and recycling, stormwater, weather, global climate change, birds, bees, and much more!

The full schedule of events includes opportunities for engagement for all ages, along with book lists, resources for further learning, and links to informational sites online.

April Teen-To-Go Bags and Essential Life Skills Kits

  • Friday, 4/2 – Teen-To-Go Bags* containing the major supplies needed and directions to make your own beeswax food wraps. Materials in the bag are demonstrated in the Let's Create ~ Teen DIY video. Located in the Library foyer.

  • Thursday, 4/22 – Essential Teen Life Skills Herb Growing Kit* containing the major supplies needed and directions to start your own herb garden. Materials in the kit are demonstrated in the Essential Teen Life Skills video. Located in the Library foyer.

*For tweens & teens in grades 5-12, while supplies last.
Important Reminders

Browsing: Cardholders may reserve time to browse materials in the Children's Room and on the second floor for 20-minute appointments. For more details, and to make an appointment, visit www.goffstownlibrary.com/calendar or call us at 603-497-2102. There is a limited schedule for our browsing service: Monday 9-2, Tuesday and Wednesday 5-8 pm, Saturday 9-1.

You will be required to wear a face covering while in the library building. Disposable masks are available in the lobby, along with hand sanitizer.

Foyer Browsing: Our foyer area is open for browsing and check out of materials during regular hours. You can still place requests remotely, and pick up contact-free.

Parking Lot Pick-Up: Just call us from the parking lot, open your trunk/back door, and we will place your items there.

Returns: Will no longer be quarantined, please use your own judgment when borrowing materials.

Computer Reservations: Call us at 497-2102 to make an appointment.

Sketchbook Club Picture
Sketchbook Club

March 29 - June 12: Sketching is a hobby with many benefits, including improving your mood and helping you focus. Be inspired, unplug, and unwind! Register for Sketchbook Club and create a sketch based on weekly prompts from the Library. 
 
When you sign up, you'll be added to the Sketchbook Club mailing list and have the prompts sent directly to you by email every Saturday.

Each registrant will receive a Sketchbook Starter Pack with everything needed to start your sketchbook journey.

Sketchbook Club will run for 10 weeks with the first prompt starting Saturday, April 3. You can sign up at any time and only need to sign up once–when you register you will receive emails every week during the series.
Let's Celebrate Anime Day
Let's Celebrate Anime Day

Thursday, April 15 at 10am Anime Day is a holiday dedicated to the entertainment art form of manga and anime. Join Ms. Patti and Stacey as we celebrate some of the characters you love.

All registered participants can pick up an Anime Craft Bag with your craft choice of a Pikachu hat or Naruto Leaf Village headband, and more great surprises, beginning Monday, April 12.

Registration closes Monday, April 12 at 5pm. This will be pre-recorded, all participants will receive an email with a link to the unlisted YouTube video on Thursday, April 15

Ready for a reading surprise? Our Book Bundle Bag includes two teen books based on the theme(s) you select. You won't know exactly what books you are getting until you pick them up.

We'll also include some fun goodies in each bag. Return the borrowed books, but keep the fun surprises inside each bag!
