Home Mortgage Rates are Dropping!
"Lowest mortgage rates in over a year could give home buyers confidence"--Yahoo Finance
chart: 30-Year Fixed Rate Mortgage Average in the United States. Source: Freddie Mac
On March 24, 2019, Yahoo Finance Senior Writer Ethan Wolff-Mann wrote: Mortgage rates are at the lowest in more than a year, with the 30-year fixed rate now averaging 4.28%. This is according to weekly data compiled by  Freddie Mac .

The last time rates were this low was February 2018, and this is a 13% drop since  November’s high of 4.94% , which was the highest since February 2011.
Right now, the rates represent good news for home buyers hoping for lower costs as well as stability in the mortgage market.

“Our latest thinking is that they’ll stay close to the level,” said Mike Fratantonia, SVP and chief economist at the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Hyperion Bank can help you take advantage of lower mortgage rates, with expert personal service to ensure your smooth closing. Shopping for a home? Talk to us first! Contact Brett Warren at 215.789.4179 or
