JOIN OUR EASTER AED HUNT
We need help finding AEDs in your community!
DOES YOUR WORKPLACE, CLINIC OR COMMUNITY HAVE AN AED?
Share it's location and information with us TODAY so that we can register it's official location, email; [email protected] or call 843-415-1886
Every year in the United States approximately 360,000  people will suffer out of hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), that's almost 1,000 people per day . During SCA, with CPR alone, the chance of survival stands at only   9% . However with CPR and the use of an AED combined the chance of survival increases to   over 50% . If someone suffers SCA it is vital that an AED is located and used as quickly as possible, not only to ensure survival, but also to limit damage caused while the brain is without oxygen.
Download and print our AED Hunt map (above) as a fun activity to help teach children all about AEDs.
The map shows six examples of places where you can usually find AEDs. Once they have found an AED in each location allow them to mark it with a sticker and list details about the AED in the boxes provided. Once they have found at least FIVE AEDs you can submit the map back to us for a chance to WIN A PRIZE!
Mail your map to us:
Send your map and any pictures of the AEDs you found to; P.O. BOX 5507, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, 29938

Arrhythmia Alliance World Heart Rhythm Week
SAVE THE DATE: 3 - 9 June 2019
This year we want you to #ListenToYourHeart
Is your Heart beating too fast?
Is your Heart beating too slow?
Your heart is letting you know that something could be wrong.
Throughout the week, Arrhythmia Alliance will be raising awareness of
arrhythmias and highlighting the importance of knowing your pulse.

An estimated 6.1 million Americans have Atrial Fibrillation
(AFib), many of whom are not yet diagnosed. A simple 30 second pulse -check can detect an arrhythmia. If pulse checks were routine thousands of lives could be saved and thousands of debilitating strokes could be avoided each year.
You can also show your support of Arrhythmia Alliance World Heart Rhythm Week by sharing our messages on social media. To receive a social media support pack contact us,
email; [email protected] or call 843-415-1886 .
STORIES FROM THE HEART
Joyce's Syncope Story
"Fainting has long been associated with 18 th century women who wore their corsets too tight. “Why goodness, I feel faint,” was a common line in old movies or romance novel. So, as a woman who regularly ran three to five miles and lifted weights at the gym, as a woman who thought she was pretty tough, I was surprised when I started fainting..."
