Helson Gallery
SOVA (Southern Ontario Visual Artists) is a distinguished collective of professional visual artists who have come together out of mutual respect and admiration for each other's work. These award-winning artists showcase their talents both nationally and internationally. The exhibition features a diverse array of media by artists including Robert Chisholm, Lynden Cowan, Connie Munson, Helen Duplassie, Joanne Lomas, Daureen Murphy, Charlene Nickels, Margaret Pardy, Lynne Schumacher, Steve Wilson, Angela Burdon, Joanna Turlej, and Michelle Eissler.

Halton Hills artists from Norval Studios & Gallery are celebrating their second anniversary operating as a cooperative with a group show at the Cultural Centre. These artists create and display original works of art in the charming and historic St. Paul’s Anglican Parish Hall, once frequented by famous Canadian author, Lucy Maud Montgomery.

Earth Day Drop-in Art Activity at the Gallery: "Our Power, Our Planet"

Helson Gallery
Through the art of collage, families can work together to visually express ideas and commitments to renewable energy and supporting a healthy and sustainable future.
This activity re-uses well-read magazines provided by the Halton Hills Public Library to focus on re-using rather than discarding items no longer needed.

Town Hall
The artwork of local artist Linda Ross Gallagher is currently on view in the Mayor's Showcase.
Linda is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists and has a studio at the Norval Studio and Gallery. Linda finds inspiration in being immersed in the outdoors, where her childhood years were spent exploring, hiking, drawing, and painting.

I Like Movies! is a funny and heartfelt film by Chandler Levack, a Burlington filmmaker, and is perfect for movie lovers of all kinds.
Enjoy a special presentation by Dr. Michael Baker, Professor of Film Studies at Sheridan College as he dives into the world of Canadian film and shares his insights.
Delicious Sadboy Pizza and local drinks will be available for purchase at the venue.
Presented by the Halton Hills Public Library, Create Halton Hills, the National Film Board of Canada, and National Canadian Film Day, as part of the OnScreen Halton Hills Film Festival.

Shifting Grounds:
The Art of Uncertainty
Deadline: April 21
Local artists are invited to submit their work for an exhibition at the Helson Gallery that explores the delicate balance between stability and chaos.
We are seeking pieces that speak to current economic, political, or environmental uncertainty.
This call is open to all mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Artists may submit up to two pieces for consideration.

Halton Municipalities
Culture Days Project
Deadline: April 24
The municipalities of Halton are seeking a multidisciplinary artist, artist team or collective to lead an interactive arts activity as part of Culture Days 2025.
This opportunity is open to Halton-based artists residing in Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills, or Burlington. The selected artist(s) will receive a $2,200 commission and up to $1,800 for material costs.

Square Foot Show and Sale
Deadline: June 19
The Helson Gallery, in cooperation with Palette and Pencil Plus Guild of Credit Valley Artisans, invites artists residing or working in the Town of Halton Hills to submit work for the Square Foot Show and Sale. Members of local Halton Hills’, belonging arts organizations are also eligible to submit. Up to eight examples of creative work in 2-dimensions may be submitted.

Emancipation Art Exhibition
Deadline: May 30 at 12 p.m.
The Halton Black History Awareness Society (HBHAS) and the Helson Gallery invite artists to submit to the 8th Annual Emancipation Art Exhibition. An exhibition celebrating the voices and artistic expressions of African diasporic artists.
