Join us to view the recently completed public art installation at Town Hall. "Connected Communities" is a visual tribute to Halton Hills, celebrating the diverse and interconnected elements that define the Town. Light refreshments and snacks will be served.

New Public Art Completed in Acton

Check out the two newest hand painted Bell Boxes below. The Bell Box Mural Project uses existing Bell Canada infrastructure in Town as canvases to enliven the streetscape and feature the work of artists. There are seven other hand-painted boxes around Town. Can you find them all? Visit all box locations and don't forget to tag your photos using the hashtag #hhPublicArt.

Small Business Week is an annual country-wide celebration of entrepreneurship and businesses in local communities. This year, Invest Halton Hills invites small business owners to take advantage and participate in programming, events, and sessions designed to champion the local business community. For residents, Invest Halton Hills is encouraging you to shop local - let’s show our business community that #LocalLove a little extra during Small Business Week 2024!

Join Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Heritage Interpreter Darin Wybenga to learn about the historical significance and symbolism of Wampum Belts, highlighting their role in treaties and the reconciliation process.


Ishpendaagaabwi: Standing With Pride, an exhibition presented in partnership with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation is on display now until November 10 in the  

Helson Gallery. This exhibition showcases a collection of artworks from nine artists that honour and celebrate their enduring resilience and culture. Each piece reflects the deep-rooted traditions, stories, and contemporary experiences of the MCFN.

Georgetown Rug Hooking Guild

On now until November 3 in the Upper Sisnett Lobby

 

Visit the Library & Cultural Centre to gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry involved in the time-honored craft of rug hooking. Active in the community for over 50 years, the Georgetown Rug Hooking Guild is dedicated to celebrating and preserving this craft.
