Artist Spotlight: The Lost Tribe

The Lost Tribe is a Greater Hartford-based collective led by drummer and percussionist Jocelyn Pleasant (pictured in this week's Arts Forecast header) that explores and reimagines the musical traditions of the African Diaspora. Rooted in West African rhythms, their sound blends djembe music with jazz, funk, rock, reggae, and hip hop, reflecting Connecticut’s vibrant “Hartford sound”.
