Entergy's Annual Beat The Heat Program

Entergy Texas, Inc. helped Interfaith once again to beat the heat this summer. As we all know, summertime in Houston can be dangerous, with temperatures routinely staying in the upper 90s! We're excited to partner with Entergy to help local seniors stay cool with 56 donated box fans.
Budget for Living: Teens

In July, Interfaith had Budget For Living: Personal Finance Workshop for Teens, a personal finance workshop for ages 15 and up. This class mainly focuses on learning how to make your own budget, understand your income, project future expenses and learn how to create a checking and savings account. Learning how to budget as a teenager is essential and will provide better decision making to ensure financial stability.

This workshop is sponsored by Woodforest National Bank and presented by Cody McGuillion, The Woodlands Branch Manager.

44th Edition of The Woodlands Directory, Delivered!

The 44th edition of Interfaith of The Woodlands Community & Business Directory landed in driveways earlier this month! Thank you to our ad partners and everyone who made the Directory possible. Interfaith is grateful to honor Rev. Don Gebert and Ms. Barbara Gebert for their decades of service to our community. All proceeds of the Directory go back into the community to improve the lives of families.

Fun with the Senior Adults

Since January, Interfaith of The Woodlands has impacted Seniors with over 14,000 service contacts! Interfaith is proud to continue our mission of building a more loving and caring community through service, all while having a good time with our amazing senior neighbors.
Go 'Stros: A group of seniors had a blast at the Houston Ast ros Game on July 12. After a full day, spirits were high as the group sang together on the bus to a nd from the game and enjoyed each other's company!

Senior Adult Dance: Interfaith hosted our monthly senior adult dance in July. 75 individuals attended, with Glenn Lenderman providing the music; he sang and played piano, guitar and fiddle! The senior adults danced to old and new selections, and also did line dances and dancing games!

Bubble Party:  Interfaith hosted a bubble-themed event for our Senior neighbors in Panther Creek. Guests enjoyed bubble-themed food, a bubblegum blowing contest and outdoor bubble time!

Bingo: Interfaith's Senior Adult bingo sessions were especially exciting this past month. Together we celebrated the 4th of July with patriotic hats and prizes!
Waste Connections Donates Proceeds from Golf Tournament

Waste Connections made a very generous donation of $110,000 to Interfaith! These funds came from their annual Golf Classic for Kids and will support families in crisis.

All-Star Volunteers: Senior Food Bagging

Thank you to Interfaith's All-Star Volunteers, who prepared grocery bags for senior grocery delivery. Interfaith of The Woodlands delivers groceries to homebound senior adults each month.  Where would we be without our All-Star Volunteers?
ICDC Summer Camps

Even though we are sad to see summer coming to a close, we are grateful for the fun memories we made together! More than 200 students attended each session of summer camp and enjoyed many activities, including art with Miss Isabelle, field trips to Chik-Fil-A, The Children's Museum and the Fish Gallery.

The last day of Summer Camp is today, August 10. ICDC will be closed on Aug 13 and 14 for professional development days.

Each month Interfaith's Food Pantry feeds nearly 1,500 individuals. In addition to serving the families that visit Interfaith every day, the Interfaith Food Pantry also serves home bound Seniors. Volunteers help package and delivers groceries to 185 Seniors in the senior complexes once a month.
