Comedy Night Fun!
On Friday, July 31st, The Friends of Chabot College hosted Funny Feud: A Virtual Comedy Night for Chabot Alumni and Friends.

Thank you so much to the 50 registrants who made our first-ever virtual event a great success! This sold-out evening was filled with laughter, hilarious Chabot-related stories, and Funny Feud! A special shout-out to the competition winners:
Bethany – Best Facemask Winner!

Yvette – Best Facemask Winner!

Peggy – Funny Feud and Excellent Hokey Pokey Winner!

Angelica – Funny Feud Winner!
We are so grateful to the many people who made the evening a great success.

Of course, this evening would not have been possible without Chabot Alum and comedian Michael Booker, who provided top-notch entertainment and served as a fantastic MC for the event.

Thank you to The Alumni Planning Team - Anamarie, Lisa, Nicole, Rachel, Victoria, and Yvonne - for shifting gears from planning an in-person event to creating an engaging, virtual experience.

Want to join in on the fun? Information about our next event will be included in the September Newsletter.
The Chabot College Mural Project:
Call for Proposals
The Chabot College 2020 Mural Project has officially released a call for proposals (CFP) from students and/or local artists. This student-initiated project is a collaborative effort to create an outdoor mural, on the Chabot College campus, revolving around themes of social justice and equitable representation while reflecting the multicultural backgrounds of students. The project intends to also promote Chabot College's mission and values around community and diversity.
In a nutshell, the project is interested in mural proposals that aim to do the following:
  • Beautify the campus;
  • Have meaningful content;
  • Emphasize our college mission and values;
  • Demonstrate our diverse cultures, identities, and social justice ethos.
Please share this CFP with Chabot College students or local artists who may be interested. The deadline to submit a proposal is
August 31, 2020 @ 5:00 P.M.

For more information about the CFP, please see the following link:
