Barrington Hills Polo Club Hosts Event on Sept. 10
Tickets are on sale for the Annual LeCompte/Kalaway Trailowners Cup on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 11:00 am-5:00 pm at 250 Deepwood Rd. in Barrington Hills. Tickets to the world-class event, hosted by the Barrington Hills Polo Club, are $20 at the gate. Spots are still available for Canlan Sports' KARE After School Program for students in grades K-5th grade. Select Barrington 220 schools will bus students to Canlan five or three days a week where they engage in scheduled homework/tutor time, themed weekly projects, and a variety of sports led by certified staff and counselors. BACC has named four local women leaders who will be honored at the WBN Outstanding Women Leaders (OWL) Awards Luncheon on Sept. 22 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm at Biltmore Country Club. The 2022 OWL Recipients are: Monica Gurgiolo of Kelleher & Holland, LLC, for Professional Excellence; Betsy Wintringer of Barrington Youth & Family Services (BYFS), for Non-profit Leadership; Jessica Green of Courageous Community, for Community Impact; and Kyle Kick of BStrong Together, for Mentorship and Education. Virtual Program on Self-Care & Boundaries Sept. 28
The Barrington Area Library will host a virtual program, "Boundaries, Burnout and Bandwidth," on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 7:00-8:00 pm in collaboration with Ascension. Mental health experts will share tools and answer questions about self-care, personal boundaries, adapting to adult responsibilities, and warning signs for more serious problems. Citizens for Conservation Acquires Hill 'N Dale Farm
Citizens for Conservation (CFC) has acquired the 246.5-acre Hill ‘N Dale Farm South property in Barrington Hills from The Duchossois Group. The land parcel is part of CFC's strategic focus on protection and restoration of impactful watershed and greenway areas. Their next step is to develop formal restoration management plans for implementation over the coming years. For details CLICK HERE.
