Apple Fest in Downtown Long Grove is This Weekend

Walk On Hosts Road Rally Scavenger Hunt Sept. 24
There's still time to sign up for the Walk On Road Rally Scavenger Hunt this Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. Visit designated Barrington businesses, check them off, then present your card to be entered for a raffle drawing. Fee is $25. Walk On offers therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults. BACT Tartans for the Trust Event is Saturday
Pack a picnic and bring your lawn concert gear to join Barrington Area Conservation Trust for their "Tartans for the Trust" event this Saturday, Sept. 24 from 2:00–6:00 pm at Cresswood Farm, 520 W. Peace with Ponies at Barrington Campus Life Center

BACOA Launches Dementia-Friendly Initiative Sept. 28
The Barrington Area Council on Aging (Bacoa) will introduce its "Dementia-Friendly Barrington Area" initiative on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 1:00–2:30 pm at the Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Hwy. Informative presentations, including “Dementia Conversations” led by local representatives of the Alzheimer’s Association, will be featured. Cake and light refreshments will be served. Village of Barrington Hosts Home Rule Info Sessions
The Village of Barrington is offering Information Sessions for community members to learn about the Home Rule Referendum, which will be on the ballot for the Nov. 8 election. KE at Home Secrets of Charcuterie Workshop Oct. 1

Donate to Deer Park Town Center Fall Food Drive
Deer Park Town Center has launched a "Season of Serving" campaign designed to help fight hunger in our community. Now through Oct. 3, non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at the center office located 20530 N. Rand Rd., Ste. 133, or at participating retailers around the mall. Elgin Symphony Orchestra Opening Night is Oct. 8
