BHS Virtual Musical Begins Streaming Tonight
The Barrington District 220 High School Fine Arts Department will present a virtual musical, "Songs for a New World," via livestream tonight, April 29 at 7:00 pm, through Sunday, May 2. The production features a cast of 38 characters performing songs connected by a theme: "the moment of decision" leading to a New World. To purchase tickets CLICK HERE.
Restaurant Revitalization Fund Opens Tomorrow
Registration for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) opens tomorrow, April 30 at 8:00 am and applications will open on Monday, May 3 at 11:00 am, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration. The RRF offers emergency assistance for eligible restaurants, bars and other qualifying businesses impacted by COVID-19. For details CLICK HERE.

Derby Party on May 1 at SOUL Harbour Ranch
Children ages 2 years to 18 are invited to join the SOUL Harbour Ranch Animal Therapy Program for their 4th Annual Kentucky Derby Party this Saturday, May 1 at noon. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite Kentucky-Derby attire and enjoy lemonade mint juleps and Derby cupcakes. Cost is $20 per child in advance or $25 at the door. Samaritan Counseling Virtual Derby Day May 1
Don't miss the "Derby Day for Mental Health" virtual fundraiser this Saturday, May 1 at 12:30 pm hosted by Samaritan Counseling Center of the Northwest Suburbs. Attendees are invited to: Name a virtual horse in a video horserace; Enter the Hat and Bowtie Contest; and Bid on original art, vacation condos, and jewelry. Barrington's White House Hosts Barton Pine May 2
Barrington's White House will host renowned violinist Rachel Barton Pine in a virtual performance on Sunday, May 2 from 3:00-4:30 pm. Barton will perform interpretations of Bach Partitas No. 2 in D minor and No. 3 in E major, Ysaye’s Prelude from Sonata No. 2, Coleridge-Taylor’s “Deep River,” and Paganini’s Caprice No. 24. A FREE virtual program about "Substance Use and Mental Health in Lake County" will be held on Wednesday, May 5 at 5:30 pm.
