IL Pain Institute Hosts Webinar Tonight on Pain and Spine Diagnosis & Treatments
The Illinois Pain Institute will host a webinar tonight, June 25 from 7:00-8:00 pm on the "Latest Proven Diagnosis & Treatments of Pain and Spine Conditions in the COVID-19 Era." Presenters include nationally acclaimed physicians:  John Prunskis, M.D. FIPP, and Presidential Appointee to the Pain Management Best Practices Task Force, Terri Dallas-Prunskis, M.D., Chadi Yaccoub M.D., Bradley Silva M.D. and Anke Bellinger M.D. To register CLICK HERE.
Restore Illinois Phase 4 Begins Tomorrow
The State of Illinois has released Phase 4 Guidelines , which go into effect tomorrow, June 26. The guidelines include five new industry categories and updated recommendations for the existing categories from Phase 3. The new guidelines also include a set of common expectations for all employers and activity types, as well as workplace and program-specific guidelines. Phase 4 states that:
  • All employees who can work from home should continue to do so;
  • Continue to wear face coverings;
  • Maintain social distancing;
  • Frequently wash hands; and
  • Follow guidelines on capacity limits and group sizes.
DCEO to Accept BIG Program Applications on June 26
The Dept. of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has launched the Business Interruption Grant (BIG) Program, providing $60 million to businesses experiencing losses or business interruption as a result of COVID-19 related closures. The BIG Program is available for up to 3,500 businesses that experienced a limited ability to operate due to COVID-19 related closures. DCEO will begin accepting applications on June 26 and start distributing funds to qualifying businesses in early July. Click here for details.
Outdoor Movie & Live Music in Long Grove June 26 & 27
Downtown Long Grove will host two days of outdoor events to kick off Phase 4 of Illinois' reopening, following safety and distancing guidelines. Enjoy "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" tomorrow, June 26 at 9:00 pm, at an outdoor pop-up movie theater; then hear live music from a variety of bands on Saturday, June 27 at 308 Old McHenry Rd. Sideouts Outdoor Concert Series Starts June 27
3D Sideouts, 4018 Roberts Rd. in Island Lake, will open its socially distant outdoor concert series this Saturday, June 27 from 6:30 - 10:30 pm with a performance by the band Modern Day Romeos. The Board of Commissioners of the South Barrington Park District have elected to sell at public auction, +/- 34 excess acres of vacant land south of the intersection of Rt. 59 and Bartlett Rd. Village of Barrington Appoints New Fire Chief
The Village of Barrington has hired John Christian as its new fire chief effective July 6. Chief Christian comes to Barrington with more than 30 years of fire service experience, which began in Grayslake, where he served as a firefighter/paramedic then later as fire chief in 2009. Christian also served as a past president of the IL Fire Chiefs Association and a veteran of the IL Army National Guard 1/131 st Infantry. Click here for details.
