It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of HomeAid Inland Empire Executive Director Julie Reay on December 24, 2021. We join our friends at HomeAid IE in expressing our deepest sympathies to the Reay family during this difficult time. Please see the following message below from HomeAid IE President Brian King.
Dear BIA/HomeAid Partners & Friends,
 
It is with great sadness to inform you that our colleague Julie Reay, the executive director of HomeAid Inland Empire, passed away on Christmas Eve due to complications from COVID-19.
 
This is a devastating loss for her family and the overall HomeAid family and we ask that you please keep her husband Chris and her three adult sons and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers during these difficult days.
 
I have known and worked with Julie for nearly 7 years, and she was truly committed to HomeAid's mission and had a deep heart and compassion for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
 
The HomeAid Inland Empire Board of Directors is discussing immediate and long-term needs as we make this difficult transition into the new year and a new era. Any offers of assistance will be sincerely appreciated.
 
Please reach out to me personally if you have any questions or concerns and know that we value each and every one of you and appreciate your care and concern for Julie's family at this time. Memorial Services will be at 2 pm on Saturday, January 8 at the Church of the Valley in Apple Valley.
