BIA Riverside Chapter Members -
Please join us in thanking our 2022 Chapter President Mike Freeman, Lennar for his leadership and dedication to the success of the Riverside County Chapter.
As we look back at 2022, Mike has certainly served the Riverside Chapter, along with the Southern California Region well, and has done an amazing job, especially during the rocky times of a changing housing market.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, Chapter Vice President Lou Monville and our BIASC Team, we thank Mike, for protecting the rich tradition of the Riverside Chapter.
We would also like to take a moment to thank our sponsors, Board of Directors, elected guests and attendees for making our annual BIA Riverside Chapter Awards & Installation an evening to remember. Please scroll below to view all event photos.
As the year comes to close, please join us as we kickoff our 100th anniversary celebration as an association. Volunteers are needed as we decorate our very own parade float for the 2023 Rose Parade® presented by Honda. Congratulations to our 2022 Excellence in Government Service Award Winners: the City Menifee and Assembly Member Chad Mayes.
|
|
On behalf of the Riverside County Chapter of the Building Industry of Southern California, we so proud to give our Excellence in Government Service award to the City Menifee and to Assembly Member Chad Mayes.
The City of Menifee has long been a community of choice for Riverside County Builders. The city has a long track record supporting good quality residential communities and a can-do spirit to solving challenges along the development path. They are the only city in the region that hosts an annual builder appreciation luncheon and recognizes a builder of the year.
The City of Menifee is represented by almost every major builder in the United States. Lennar, DR Horton, Pulte, Meritage Homes, Richmond American Homes, Tri Pointe Homes, KB Home, Woodside Homes and Brookfield Residential. Audie Murphy Ranch, one of Menifee’s premier master plans, was recognized in 2021 as one of the top 50 master planned communities in the United States of America! The City of Menifee listens to the builders, is involved in co-creating communities with us, and is recognized as a trusted agency partner that appreciates and stands for good business and good government - and how the two need to work together.
State Assembly Member Chad Mayes (AD 42) has represented the 42nd Assembly District including parts of both Riverside and San Bernardino counties since November 2014. Assembly Member Mayes is forthright, hardworking, pragmatic and honest. He has been a tireless advocate for more freedom, educational excellence and efficient government. He has been a fierce advocate of private property rights and the homebuilding industry.
Locally, he was the go-to member of the legislature for builders in the cities of Banning and Beaumont where fully approved projects were being held up and often unilaterally changed by a California Department of Fish and Wildlife Service that was operating far beyond its legal authority and holding BIA member projects hostage.
While we are sad to see Chad leave the legislature, we wish him all the best with his growing family and future endeavors.
On behalf of our builders and our industry, we are extremely proud and very grateful for the City of Menifee’s and Assembly Member Chad Maye's Excellence in Government!
