As summer heats up, our chapter continues to build momentum with events that keep our members informed and connected.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming BIA Riverside County Chapter Government Affairs Workshop on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. The location is still being finalized, but this session will feature key city managers from across Riverside County discussing the latest policy, planning, and development issues. It’s a valuable opportunity to engage directly with local leadership on the challenges and opportunities shaping our region.

And don’t miss our signature BIA RC Summer Wine Event, Hot Summer Nights, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Wilson Creek Winery. It promises to be a relaxed and enjoyable evening of networking in a beautiful setting—a perfect way to close out the summer.

BIASC Builder Action Alert: Solar Activation Concerns

BIASC Builder Members:

It has been brought to BIASC leadership’s attention that builders are experiencing issues related to the solar activation process in absence of a solar company to facilitate this. It appears that due to the closures of Sunpower and now Sunnova, some homeowners are left with inactive solar months after closing escrow, with neither the builder or homeowners being able to get the systems activated on their own.

BIASC will engage with SCE leadership regarding this critical issue and would appreciate any testimonials that you can provide so that we can present evidence to SCE that this is a larger issue than anticipated and needs to be addressed expediently.

We will keep you informed as we continue to advocate for a smarter, more resilient recovery.
