ARE YOU READY FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL? WE ARE!
NFSSE is excited and ready to start the new school year, and we’re sure you are too! We look forward to welcoming all our students back on campus. We encourage you to read the entire newsletter as it’s filled with important details to start the year.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation: Wednesday, August 10 from 9:00 -11:00am
First Day of School
The first day of school for all students is Thursday, August 11 at 9:00am
School Hours
School begins at 9:00am.

Dismissal time is 3:00pm for Elementary students and 3:30pm for Intermediate, Secondary and Transition students. Postgraduate students are dismissed at 2:00 everyday.
Arrival & Dismissal Instructions
We begin getting students out of their cars promptly at 8:45am. If you are walking your student to the front of the school for the first day, please park carefully along the street so that traffic flow can continue into the parking lot.

Important – click the link to view the map for arrival and dismissal
Visitors
This year we’re instituting a stronger visitor policy for anyone visiting our campus. When you arrive on campus, please visit the front desk of one of the two school buildings to sign in and receive a visitors badge before you access the building. We will require this for all visitors regardless of how frequently a visitor is on campus. Thank you for adhering to this procedure.
Morning Care/Extended Day
Early morning care begins at 7:15am and Extended Day ends at 6:00pm. Drop off and pickup is at the Lower School building.
FES-UA Directive Form
Families that are a part of FES-UA are required to sign a directive form this school year. This assures that any costs covered by the plan can be applied to NFSSE tuition and expenses. This form must be submitted to allow NFSSE to bill FES-UA for tuition.
Clubs
Club information will be sent out at the end of August. We’ll update you in our Friday newsletters when sign-up will happen.
IT'S TIME TO START ORDERING YOUR AUGUST LUNCHES!
Our Culinary Team is ready to cook up some delicious lunches. Click HERE to review the registration instructions and order lunches for your student.

Remember the first day for lunch is Monday, August 15. Please pack a lunch on Thursday and Friday, August 11 and 12.
UPCOMING EVENTS
AUGUST ASSEMBLY

Let's give everyone a warm welcome to the start of the 2022-2023 school year during our Back to School Assembly on Thursday, August 11 at 9:30 on Microsoft Teams. If you can’t log in at 9:30, its ok! It will be recorded! We will say the pledge of allegiance, celebrate summer birthdays, and meet some of our new students and staff members, all before revealing the theme for this year Why Walk When You Can Fly!
PSO WELCOME BACK SOCIAL

PSO will be doing a Welcome Back Social on August 19 from 8:45-9:45. It's a great opportunity to meet other NFSSE parents and learn about the various opportunities to be a part of this great community.
A NOTE FROM OUR NURSES ABOUT COVID
We continue to follow CDC and the Florida Department of Health Guidelines for Covid update. Here are our current protocols. Please know this is subject to change when we receive new information:
If students are Covid positive, they must quarantine for 5 days. Day 0 is the day of the positive test.

If there is a known exposure, students must wear a mask at school for 5 days. If students are exposed to someone in their household who is Covid positive, and the student does not have symptoms, the student has the option of quarantining for 5 days or 5 days of strict mask wearing at school.

If students begin to have symptoms, they must test prior to coming to school. The school nurse has the right to send student home who are ill with any of the following symptoms – fever, runny nose, cough, congestion, sore throat, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting or any other symptom that might be concerning.

If someone in your household is Covid positive, please alert the nurses at nurse@northfloridaschool.org
