Mazel Tov!

Ariana Funk Bat Mitzvah

Ariana Ruth Funk is being called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on June 7. She is the daughter of Andrea and Jake Funk and big sister to Lyla Funk. She is a lover of music and a violinist in her school orchestra who thrives when she is learning new things. Ariana is also an animal enthusiast and avid reader.

Sadie Atlas Bat Mitzvah

Sadie Isabelle Atlas, daughter of Jon and Heidi Atlas, will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah during the morning service on June 14. Sadie is a rising 8th grader at Indian Hills Middle School. She enjoys playing piano and soccer, serving on Student Council, reading, being creative and spending time with friends and family. Sadie has an older brother, Max. She is the granddaughter of Barbara and Richard Atlas of Overland Park, Kansas, and Trudy and Patrick Pauken of Avon Lake, Ohio. For her mitzvah project, Sadie worked with the Olivia Bloomfield Foundation to plan a trivia night, OBF’s first in-person fundraiser. The foundation carries on the legacy of Sadie’s friend Olivia through community projects that empower individuals with disabilities, advance inclusion and increase accessibility.

A Monumental Mazel Tov Moment!

We are thrilled to celebrate our incredible rabbinic team! In a time of rabbinic shortages, we are blessed with the best of the best!

Right out of school, Rabbi Brazner and Rabbi Rothstein joined our family in 2022. After three years of dedicated service, we are excited to elevate them to the title of Associate Rabbis. To mark this special milestone, we invite you to join us for a Shabbat to remember.

What better way to celebrate than with a traditional deli-themed dinner that will leave you craving more? Picture this: fresh challah, homemade rye bread, pastrami and corned beef flown in just for the occasion, a pickle tasting and much more! We’ll fill the chapel with the warmth of Shabbat, followed by delicious food and even better company.

Our Friday Night Dinners are always a hit, and they sell out quickly, so don’t wait to reserve your spot!

Mark your calendars, save your seat and get ready for an unforgettable evening of warmth, connection and community — Shabbat style.

From the Klein Collection: Hand-held Decalogue

Based on the handle at its base, this wooden sign of the Ten Commandments was probably made to be waved around at a Simchat Torah celebration as an alternative to the more common practice of holding flags. It was made in the United States around 1900.

Want to learn more about the Klein Collection or schedule a group tour? Contact Abby Magariel at curator@bnaijehudah.org for more information.
