From the President ...
Purim was a blast! The Megillah was read, the music played, songs sung, snacks, hamantaschen and beverages consumed. Jeff Roberts made us laugh with his old school jokes, and the Purple People Eater made a visit! Thanks to Rabbi Waxman, Alan Gerberg, Shai Abisch, Billy Hirschen, Rich Weisman, Barry Weiss, Rena Goldwasser, Nancy Freyberg and Harold Eichenholz for making the evening a great success!

What we are doing and what you should do to avoid
Infection with the Corona Virus (COVID-19)
We continue to take this health crisis seriously, but there is no reason to panic. Our regular services and all events will take place as planned, unless there is a significant change in our community. For your protection, hand sanitizer is available as you enter the building and disinfectant wipes are in the social hall. Surfaces are being carefully cleaned.
In the sanctuary, we are placing chairs farther apart to decrease your risk of being exposed to viruses & bacteria. Continue washing your hands frequently, for a full 20 seconds. Don't touch your face. Wave hello instead of hugging, shaking hands or bumping elbows. Stay home if you are sick or have under-lying health conditions. We will continue to listen to the the medical experts and follow their advice until Covid-19 is no longer a threat.
Stay well & Shabbat Shalom,

Sell your Hametz
Please go to the link below to get the form for selling your Hametz before Passover. The form must be given to Rabbi Kenter no later than Wednesday, April 8.
We are excited to confirm that Bnai Israel will again host the 1st seder on Wednesday, April 8th at 6:00pm. Little Pond Caterers will be preparing the food this year, and we will be serving a traditional Passover menu: Gefilte Fish, Matzo Ball Soup, Chicken, Carrots, Potato Kugel, Salad, Fruit and dessert. Alan Gerberg will lead the Seder using our hagadah. The cost is $36 for members and $45 for non-members.
Please consider performing the mitzvah of sponsoring a meal for another person who is unable to pay. In order to keep the costs of the meals at the current level, we are also seeking sponsors for the flowers and matzah at $300 each.
or to be a sponsor. You can also call Kate at 910-762-1117 to sign up for either.
If you would like to sit with specific friends or family members, please let Kate or Tina know and we will try our best to accommodate you.
Please contact Tina at email@example.com if you have questions or would like to volunteer to help with set-up or clean up. We need everyone's help with this community effort. Thank you.
Rabbi Search Update
At the current time, we have no active candidates referred by the Rabbinical Assembly. We are therefore preparing our "resume" to send to other rabbinical training institutions and websites specializing in Jewish professionals, including rabbis. We are confident that our persistence and your patience will be rewarded with finding the best rabbi for our congregation.
