MARCH 2020
Monthly News & Updates
So…what’s everyone been up to? No doubt, we’re in unprecedented times with many unknowns! But what I do know is that we are a resilient industry that can and will bounce back from this (CoVid19) pandemic. We must depend on each other to glean ideas for survival and recovery. I’ve heard many say, and I believe, that the travel industry will be one of the first, strongest and fastest to recover. So, while you’re surviving, be planning for that surge that we’ll all experience when the gates for travel are opened! I know we’re all dealing with lots of cancellations, but hopefully the majority are rescheduling for future dates and still booking new travel for future dates as well. If they aren’t, and you’re able to, you need to create a campaign and go after it!

As you should know by now, your Board of Directors recently had to make the difficult decision to postpone our 2020 scheduled conference in Philadelphia, PA. As a non-profit, with (non-cancellable) financial commitments already extended, rescheduling was our only option. We’re looking at it as a good exercise to host our first annual conference in the Fall! Luckily, we only had to make minor adjustments to our agenda and are still expecting a great conference! Be sure to save the new dates; see below for more information!

But, why wait until the fall dates to connect with C.A.R.E. members? Thanks to CustomerCount® and The Contact Group for offering to host an online teleforum for C.A.R.E.’s Meet the Members! That’s right…next Monday, April 6 th at 1pm ET you’ll have the opportunity to join our online teleforum and connect with C.A.R.E. members. If you had previously registered for the Philly conference, you’ll receive complimentary registration for the event and if you hadn’t registered (member or not) you can participate in the event for a $25.00 registration fee. Those that pay to register for this event and subsequently register for the new fall conference dates will receive a $25.00 credit toward that registration. The online registration fee is per company (on one line) not per attendee. We have a limited number of seats on the call for speakers (member only), so registrations will be processed on a first come first serve basis. Non-members may gain access to the call but will not be allowed to speak as per C.A.R.E.’s By-laws. We hope you can take time to join us for this one-of-a-kind event!

We are #CARESTRONG #TOURISMSTRONG so let’s stick together, stay safe and healthy and do our part to flatten that curve! We are all very social people, so I know it’s not easy, but we’ll be on the other side of this sooner than later if we can make sacrifices now and all do our part!

Love, Hugs and Prayers to you All!
