CARES Newsletter, April 2018
The events shown below are social and learning experiences
sponsored by Autism Cares Foundation.
What we provide is only possible through the kind donations we receive, and also through the participation and support of our biggest fundraisers.
Those fundraisers include our upcoming Spring Gala and our Fall Race for Resources.
Read below to find out how you can support ACF, and play an important role in the lives of children, teens and adults with autism and other special needs.
WOW. Best of Bucks 2018
Thank you ACF Friends! It is because of your support, that Autism Cares Foundation has been named Best Charity for 2018. We are honored to hold this title proudly and we look forward to continuing to offer hundreds of life-enriching events and programs annually. Thank you so much for helping us spread the word about the Foundation and what we do for those with autism and other special needs.
Shake your Shamrock was SUPERB!
Friday, March 16th was a night of dancing, friends and fun as we celebrated St. Patrick's Day at Council Rock High School South.

Over 50 volunteers helped us put on a great dance for teens and adults with autism and other special needs by decorating, checking in attendees and finding buddies on the dance floor!

Thank you to all who attended, we hope you enjoyed Shaking your Shamrock!
Who's ready to have FUN, and raise FUNDS!
This year's Spring Gala is special. We are celebrating a full decade of enriching the lives of those with autism and other special needs, and building them a brighter tomorrow!

Please join us at the 10th Anniversary Diamond Celebration on Saturday, April 21st for Silent & Live Auctions, Dinner and Dancing at Spring Mill Manor. Single Tickets are $160, while tables of ten are $1600.

The Annual Spring Gala isn't just a party, it's a chance to raise needed funds while celebrating the joy of our efforts. We hope you can attend.

It was Magic at the Movies
Sunday mornings are for quality time with loved ones, which is why we invited our ACF friends & family to the movies! Over 130 guests enjoyed Sherlock Gnomes in a private theatre for our Spring Sensory Friendly Movie.

Lights turned up and sound turned down, created an atmosphere that allowed our special friends to enjoy a movie with their family. We thank the staff at AMC Neshaminy 24 for another enjoyable experience as well, they are always a pleasure!

Missed this one? The next Sensory Friendly Movie will take place this Summer, so stay tuned!
We Rolled With It at Family Skating Night!
On Monday night, March 26th we had Palace Roller Skating Center all to ourselves! With that much open space, participants couldn't wait to get laced up and glide out onto the floor.

The resident DJ kept us groovin', and the friendly staff made sure that everyone enjoyed the night safely. Thank you to all who attended, we saw some real talent out there!

Listen to this!
Linda Kuepper, Co-Founder and CEO of Autism Cares Foundation and Debra Wallace, PR Director of Autism Cares Foundation, had a wonderful opportunity to speak with Dr. Jo Anne White on her radio show, Power Your Life.

Topics included a peek into the life of two parents with a child who has autism, as well as our upcoming 10th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, and why we are so excited to celebrate the achievements of the past decade.

Spring Glee Club begins!
The joy of glee is here, just in time for Spring! Twice a month, our dedicated group of singers meets to practice songs and make new friends.

Led by Bill Monoghan, of Monoghan Music and Morgan Duretz, Volunteer, the group has a structured, but fun experience which engages all participants positively.

Mark your calendars for the Annual Spring Concert on June 5th at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro.
