Your CCSI Connection
Greetings!

Here's this week's "Your CCSI Connection:"
CCSI's New Intranet is Almost Here!

Earlier this month, we let you know that the CCSI intranet is getting a much needed makeover, including a more logical structure, improved navigation, and general look and feel. We're also adding some additional resources we hope you’ll find helpful. The site is going live October 26th. You’ll get an e-mail with a new link next Wednesday and your Internet Explorer homepage will automatically connect you to the new site when you are on the CCSI network. We'll be rolling this new site out in phases, with an initial focus on making sure you have everything you need for our upcoming open enrollment.   As always, we’ll be looking for feedback, as we get the new site up and running. There will be an online suggestion box, but you can also feel free to contact Laura Commaroto at LCommaroto@ccsi.org with your thoughts about what would be most helpful.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

There have been a number of events across NYS this month all focused on increasing awareness of the important issue of domestic violence. In case you missed it, here’s a link to a press conference held in Rochester earlier this month. While reports of domestic violence in Monroe County are down, according to data from the Willow Center for Domestic Violence, rates in our area remain above the New York State average. In addition to announcing the launch of an important new community resource aimed at supporting individuals experiencing domestic violence (HEAL, or Healing through Education, Advocacy and Law, a new program based at Strong Hospital), County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Mayor Lovely Warren highlighted the importance of not being silent on the issue of domestic violence – as well as knowing what’s available in terms of local services and supports.   Links to resources in your community can be found below:
