Hello
CDN Update

I hope this finds you well. Like all of you, the CDN team has been busy adjusting to this new way of working. We've also been developing new activity and resources to support the sector through this difficult period. A great example was seen with one of this week's Virtual Bridge webinars which provided tips on how to make the online experience as accessible as possible for all students. You can look back at all the webinar recordings on CDN's YouTube channel here.

Looking ahead to the end of April, I am delighted to tell you about a week of online workshops focused on Leadership and Governance - find out more below.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board have contacted us and asked that we help spread the word about their urgent need for PPE supplies. If your college has a 3D Printer then the health board, which is the largest in the UK, would really like to hear from you. They really need your help to make PPE, so that frontline NHS staff can be protected in the fight against Coronavirus - find out more below.

Whatever your plans are for this long weekend, the CDN team and I would like to wish you all the very best, Happy Easter and #StaySafe.

As ever, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to talk about any aspect of our work, if you'd like to suggest new ways that we can support you, or share experiences and great practice that colleagues in the sector would find useful. You can email me at: jim.metcalfe@cdn.ac.uk

Urgent help for PPE needed
Can you help?
Please email the Head of Department Michael O'Neil here.
The maxillofacial department for Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board are urgently seeking support from colleges with 3D printers.

They are looking for urgent help to make up to 1,000 protective visors for frontline staff in ICU, who are looking after COVID-19 patients in the worst hit area of Scotland. There is a shortfall in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) visors and laminate/acetate sheet.
A .STL file which is ready to print to the exact specification is available and can be sent via email to any college that can help.
