We are delighted to announce the shortlist for the Awards is now online and can be viewed here. CDN launches college sector International Ambitions research report

The report was commissioned by CDN, with the support of the Scottish Government, Scottish Development International, and British Council Scotland. CDN’s partners at the Association of Colleges conducted the research.

Launch of New Digital Training Module:
Supporting Student Carers at College

Supporting Student Carers at College is a new innovative free digital training module for all college staff across Scotland which can be accessed via CDN LearnOnline. It has been developed by CDN and Carers Trust Scotland from funding received by The Scottish Funding Council.
|
|
The module will help college practitioners to better understand the challenges faced by many student carers, and it provides guidance on how to improve support for these students at college.
To introduce the new resource, Andrée Carruthers, Consultant at CDN, has kindly written a blog along with a short video clip, which can be viewed above.

CDN partners with Young Scot for money advice webinars

CDN has partnered with Young Scot and Fast Forward for ‘CashChats’, a new series of online discussions for young people about money and finance.
College students are being encouraged to send in their questions for the second CashChats webinar on Wednesday 30 September. The Talking Money, Savings & Your Rights at Work webinar is for college students who want to understand more about money, budgeting, saving and their rights at work. College students can submit questions in advance of the webinar by clicking here. Questions will be answered by the following panel of guest experts: Sarah Thom, Student Services Manager at Dundee and Angus College and Young Money expert Iona Bain, Citizen’s Advice Scotland.
