Your CARES Act Funding
Dear Student,

On Monday, you received an email about financial assistance to help you cover costs incurred this semester related to COVID-19. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act is federal assistance that has been made available to Idaho State University students. The amount of your CARES grant is based on your FAFSA information and your Spring enrollment.

Today, CARES grants have been processed to all qualifying ISU students, including you.

If you signed up for an e-refund, the disbursement will be transferred into your account at your financial institution. Students who did not previously sign up for an e-refund will be mailed a paper check tomorrow, May 7, to the permanent address on file.

The grant is intended to help you with expenses, including course materials, distance-based technology, food, housing, health care, and childcare. Idaho State’s model for distribution is outlined below and was primarily distributed based on the Expected Family Contribution calculated for each student on their completed FAFSA.
