A Note from Rev. Laura Hallett

Greetings Beloved Friends!

We are continuing our exploration of CSL's 2022 Global Theme: Living Everyday Wonder. Each month we look at a different life structure and focus our study on how we can experience more everyday wonder in that area of our life. For the month of June our topic of exploration is our Body. For our Wednesday evening and Sunday services we will explore how to live everyday wonder through the magnificent and magical creation that is our body. The body you have, right here and right now, is an expression of God. By loving it, learning about it, and listening to it, we come closer and closer to the Divine.

Our series of community conversations series was a great hit. Through the online survey, zoom discussion, and in person gathering, we heard from over 60 members of our community. Your feedback is being presented to the Leadership Council, the Relocation Committee, and leaders of the various ministries at Center for Spiritual Living, Greater Las Vegas. The data collected will be used to inform future planning and projects at our Center.

New Building Update

As I write this newsletter, we are in the final stages completing the purchase of our new home for Center for Spiritual Living, Greater Las Vegas. We anticipate receiving the keys the first week of June. Our contractor is busy with the design of the interior structure of our new Center. After the design has been approved by us, it will be submitted to the Planning Commission to secure the necessary building permits. We are anticipating the entire building process to be completed in the late fall.

CSLGLV Education

The CSL certified class Visioning: A Way of Life this summer is being offered this summer. enrollment ends on June 8th. Visioning is one of our most transformative and powerful spiritual practices that incorporates meditation, intuitive listening, and journaling. This is a six week course that not only takes you through the steps of visioning and the rationale behind it, it takes you one step further by teaching how to actually apply what is revealed through the visioning process in your life on a daily basis. In this revised version of the Visioning class, you'll learn to use some of our other spiritual practices to take what is revealed to you in visioning and use it to transform your life, to enhance projects that you're working on, and to create a world that works not only for you but for others around you. This course is offered on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 PM starting June 9th and completing July 14th. Classes will be held online via our Zoom platform. Special Event – A New Building Blessing

As we move forward in creating our new space, we are planning a special service to bless our new building and grounds before the interior construction begins. This is an opportunity for the community to come together at the site and bless the beginnings of the NEW Center for Spiritual Living, Greater Las Vegas.

It is taking place on Sunday, June 19th at 8:00 a.m. (A Sunrise Service for the dawn of our new Center) at our new location: 4080 East Russell Road. This is in lieu of our regular 3^rd Sunday in-person service. We will hold the service in the parking lot right in front of our building.

We will not be able to brings our Center’s chairs to the site for this event, so we are asking you to bring your own lawn chair or folding chair to sit on during this event. If you have an extra chair you can bring, that would be greatly appreciated by those who may not be able to bring one.

As we are the first occupants of this property and none of the buildings have been completed on the interior, there are no restroom facilities onsite. Please take care of your needs before you arrive. We plan to keep the Building Blessing under one hour so as to accommodate this need.

The Blessing Ceremony will be broadcast later in the day for those of you unable to be with us in person. As part of this special service, we will be writing individual blessings on stones to be placed in the foundation of our building. If you unable to attend and would like to add your blessing, please send it in an email to Rev. Laura ([email protected]) and it will be included.

Visioning: A Way of Life is a CSL Certificated Science of Mind ® course. Visioning is a powerful spiritual practice that transforms our lives as we participate in it. The purpose of this newly revised course is to awaken us to the transformational nature of Visioning, to learn the Visioning process, to understand the organic nature of manifestation and to be aware of its implementation in our lives. Not only will we explore the process of Visioning, but we will learn how to take it to the next step of implementing more consistently in our daily lives.

This course runs for 6 weeks on Thursdays from 6:00-9:00 PM (Pacific).

Starts: June 9, 2022

Ends: July 14, 2022

As this is a CSL certificated course, the prerequisite for this course is Beyond Limits or another Foundations level course. $200 with payments available
