In-Person September 18th!

A Note from Rev. Laura...

Greetings beloveds!

Let me start with some gratitude to all of you who attended our in-person service on August 21st at our new building. The energy of us coming together in person at our new location was just palpable. I left there with such a high feeling of connection and joy. While we've had to streamline our services to accommodate the limitations of being outdoors in our parking lot, the joy of coming together in community has been magnified.

I look forward to our September service at 9:00 AM on Sunday the 18th. And starting in October we will be meeting in person on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month.

Our new Sacred Circle Small Group Ministries are beginning to launch this month. In addition to our four existing small groups, we're excited to announce an online study group with Justin Vogel, RScP. And we have our small group Dining Club kicking off the first week of October. Check your weekly eblast for more information on these ways to connect in the community.

Our new building committee has been hard at work developing ways that we can come

together as we wait for the completion of our new building. We have several exciting events planned to generate interest and enthusiasm for what is unfolding at our new center. We are looking at different ways that we can come together during these events. If you have any suggestions for events that you would like to see, please make sure to let us know.

And... speaking of events, I'm planning some fun workshops for the next couple of months. Our first one is scheduled for Sunday, October 9th from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Enterprise Library. This will be a fun and engaging exploration of practices to help us resolve many of our hidden beliefs around finances and create an empowering relationship with money. In November, we’ll have a workshop on the basics of our philosophy and practices used at Centers for Spiritual Living for anyone interested in membership in our community and for everyone wanting a refresher to uplift the practices in their spiritual journey.

I continue to be committed to meeting with our members. I’d like to get to know you better and provide spiritual support for you. I’ve set up a link to allow you to schedule a private meeting with me. Just click on the link below and it will allow you to schedule with me at your convenience. I’m available Tuesday – Thursday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Tuesday Book Study

Join licensed Practitioner Justin Vogel for a bi-weekly book study starting with the Joel

Goldsmith book “The Altitude of Prayer.” Contrary to popular belief, Joel says, prayer is not our speaking to God. Rather it is God speaking to us. He explains that prayer does not require words or thoughts; it calls for stillness and silence.

True prayer opens a new dimension in our lives as we receive impartations from our true Self, the full and complete expression of God within. We avoid the disharmonies and discords of human life and climb to the highest altitudes of Spirit, where we see an expanded horizon of life’s grandeur and possibilities. Our contact with this infinite  Source within brings forth and maintains harmony, beauty, peace, wholeness, and completeness, and we live by Grace.

The Altitude of Prayer is Joel’s most significant work on the subject of prayer, and will

be a great inspiration to anyone who wants to deepen their awareness and appreciation

of prayer.

Starts Tuesday, September 13th - 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

There is no cost for this book study.
