VIM INTRODUCES TWO NEW
DONOR RECOGNITION PROGRAMS!
PERSONALIZED BRICKS AT VIM’S FOUNDER'S PLAZA
For those who have visited our Indio clinic, you know that we have a beautiful facility with lots of landscaped space around our building. We are excited to announce that plans have begun to create a Founder's Plaza directly in front of the building to include personalized bricks. The Founder's Plaza is being created to honor Dr. Ron Hare and other founding members of our clinic for their many contributions. It's only appropriate that the community be involved as well though, (we couldn't do what we do without your support!) and so we have created an opportunity to purchase your own personalized brick for placement in the Plaza. These bricks are a great way to honor someone or memorialize a person or event, while supporting our mission of providing health care services to our uninsured friends and neighbors.  For more information, contact CVVIM Executive Director, Doug Morin at 760-625-0760 or doug.morin@cvvim.org. These make great holiday gifts with a lasting legacy for that person who has everything!
PERSONALIZED PLAQUES IN
DEDICATED AREAS OF THE CLINIC
If you would like to support us in a bigger way, consider being the named supporter of one of our patient examination rooms, dental operatories, or perhaps even our nursing station, lobby or community room! Personalized plaques with your name or the name of a loved one you wish to honor, will be placed at the entrance to a room. The nursing station, lobby and community room will actually be renamed as you suggest, such as "The John and Sue Doe Community Room" or "The Doe Family Community Room". For more information about these opportunities, contact CVVIM Executive Director, Doug Morin at 760-625-0760 or doug.morin@cvvim.org.
Show your support for the Valley’s medically uninsured
in a way that lasts, with a personalized exterior brick
at The Founder's Plaza or a personalized interior plaque!

Thank you to all of the foundations who support our programs and services. Most recently, we would like to thank the  City of Rancho Mirage ($3,000), The Tracy Lane Foundation ($10,000),  Rabobank, N.A ($10,000) and the California Wellness Foundation ($222,000) for their support!
Responding to requests from many of our donors, our Board of Directors created three funds you may direct your donations to: The Tracy Lane Fund for Women's Wellness, Dental Services and Homeless Medical Outreach. Donations directed to these funds will be restricted solely for expenses relating to those unique programs. "Donors may have a particular interest or connection in one of these program areas," said Doug Morin, Executive Director, "and our Board acknowledges that with the creation of these three funds."

Dental services at our clinic have expanded greatly in the past 18 months – so much so that we now offer limited numbers of root canals, crowns, and dental appliances, such as partial or full dentures, which can have life changing effects for our patients. Our Homeless Medical Outreach program (sometimes referred to as Street Medicine) began in May of 2016, and has never missed a Tuesday night outreach activity since then. Services are provided in the Indio and Coachella areas; they have had more than 1,000 encounters with unsheltered persons. Donations will be used for medical and clinical supplies, vaccinations, and other needs the team has. The Tracy Lane Fund for Women's Wellness is a special fund, created in memory of Tracy Depew Lane, a Golf Professional in La Quinta, CA who was diagnosed with Stage 3B cervical cancer in August of 2012. One year later, Tracy lost her battle at the age of 31. When her prognosis became terminal, her and her husband Derek decided to start a foundation to prevent this from happening to other young women. The Tracy Lane Foundation supported CVVIM for several years, paying all costs for PAP smears until earlier this year when the foundation closed. Before dissolving their foundation however, they granted $10,000 to CVVIM to establish the fund in Tracy's name. "We are honored to continue the legacy of Tracy with the creation of this fund" said Dr. Roy Pitkin, Chairperson, Board of Directors, and retired OB/GYN physician.
