The 2023 CalDesal Annual Conference in Sacramento during February 16-17 was a tremendous success! Those attending and participating in the conference enjoyed a great opportunity to hear about the role that desalination is playing – and will continue to play – in California’s water resilient future. We heard from Newsom Administration officials and key regulatory agency leaders about the work that a number of state agencies are currently engaged on within the desalination space. Attendees received a fantastic overview of brackish water desalination throughout the state, a timely update on the state of desalination research that is ongoing, and a synopsis of the broad array of innovations in desalination technology.
