California Consulting Secured $1.5 Million for the Boating Infrastructure Grant from U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service
California Consulting is proud to announce that we have secured the Boating Infrastructure Grant in the amount of $1.5 million from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

This incredible award was the direct result of the hard work and dedication of our Project Manager Ashley Ramsey to produce a winning application.
LACCD Foundation for the Los Angeles Community Colleges Receives $1,000,000 For CARES Act to Aid in Pandemic Expenses
CC congratulates the Foundation for the Los Angeles Community Colleges for receiving the CARES Act in the amount of $1,000,000.

This grant will bring $1,000,000 in CARES Act money to support direct food subsidies for community college students, prioritizing students with families, and dependent children. Right now, this population is facing extremely high rates of food insecurity due to the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Foundation will partner with Los Angeles Valley College's innovative Family Resource Center to implement this program.

This most recent accomplishment is another example of the commitment of the Foundation's leadership to promote the quality of life for its community.

It’s also a reflection of the dedication and hard work by CC Project Manager Jake Whitaker who ensured a successful grant application.

California Consulting is excited to announce our new interactive website recently launched this week.

We worked diligently to improve the format, look, and information to make it easier and more user friendly.

California Consulting Inc. Hosted a highly Successful Table Talk Session at California School Board Association's Annual AEC Conference
The California School Board Association (CSBA) and California Consulting, hosted a very successful "Table Talk" Session at the AEC annual conference.

We served as exhibitors once again this year and are proud exhibitors each year at the CSBA annual conference. We were invited by CSBA to conduct a presentation about grant writing best practices as part of the annual conference.

CC congratulates the City of San Fernando (a CC client) for receiving the Local Early Action Plan (LEAP Grant in the amount of $150,000. from the California State Department of Housing and Community Development.

This most recent accomplishment is another example of the commitment of the City's leadership to protect and promote the quality of life for its residents.

California Consulting Welcomes Cecily Harris as our New Project Manager
California Consulting is pleased to welcome Cecily Harris as a Project Manager. Cecily will oversee and manage various client accounts. Ms. Harris has over 35 years' experience and has worked for numerous nonprofit organizations and municipalities as staff, consultant, or volunteer. Her niche has always been on the business side - fund development, government relations, marketing communications, program development and implementation, community engagement, and education. Her passion is grantsmanship – the research, writing, and managing of foundation and government grants.
 
Working in California between 1983 and 2018, Cecily served on numerous nonprofit organization Boards of Directors, was appointed to several city, regional and State of California committees and commissions, and recently held two elected positions. She served for ten years as a Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District Board Member and Chair of the San Mateo County Democratic Party. Other recent community service placements included Board Member on the San Francisco Bay Trail Project, Advisory Board Member on the San Francisco Bay Area Water Trail and Commissioner on the State Boating and Waterways Commission. Since moving to Minnesota in October 2018, she now serves on the Metropolitan Council Parks and Open Space Commission, Park and Trails Legacy Advisory Committee as well as serving on the Boards of ArtReach St. Croix, Gateway Browns Creek Trail Association, and North Woods and Waters of the St Croix Heritage Area. In addition, she serves as Director of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party Senate District 39, Congressional District 6, Environmental Caucus and a Member of the Party Affairs and Coordinated Campaign Committee.
 
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Renewable Natural Resources, Wildlife Sciences from the University of Arizona and a Masters of Business Administration, Marketing from Golden Gate University.

Project Manager Audra Lee
California Consulting is pleased to spotlight Project Manager Audra Lee in our December newsletter.

As an expert in her field, Audra is an experienced grant writer, working in the nonprofit sector for 20 years. Audra is also well versed in nonprofit administration and creating organizational stability through financial diversification. Her specialty is grant writing and management, nonprofit development, fundraising, and event coordination. She excels at creating solutions to drive organizational growth and stability through fund procurement. Audra’s passion lies in ensuring leadership, human capital, and fund development support program and operations to achieve annual objectives and meet strict Foundation, City, County, State, and Federal funding standards.

As an experienced grant writer, she has an 80% success rate procuring grants. She has also spearheaded over 300% organizational financial growth through fundraising, grant funding, and capital campaigns.

Audra holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and is a Doctoral of Business candidate. 

Believing in the Spirit of Volunteerism, she devotes much of her free time giving back to the community. She has sat on several boards of Directors including The HOPE Collaborative and The WonderSeed Foundation.
