California Consulting Welcomes Mary Galvan Rosas as New Statewide Senior Director
|
|
California Consulting, Inc. announced the addition of Mary Galvan Rosas as the firm's Statewide Senior Director. Mary's duties will include representing the company Statewide.
Mary Galvan Rosas career has covered managing government relations with local, and state leaders for over 20 years. In addition, her expertise to position her employer/client with key community stakeholders as a trusted partner to create effective policy in priority areas has placed Mary in top positions across California.
Mary's career in alliance development spans across the Western Region of the United States mobilizing community groups on issues in the fields of energy, health, and community engagement. In addition, she was a gubernatorial appointee to serve as Deputy Director of the California Department of Consumer Affairs Division (CCED). Here she led a team of 120 with five offices across the state to promote fraud prevention programs by engaging local municipalities and community leaders.
Her community involvement includes serving as a Commissioner for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services, Board Secretary for Latinas Lead California PAC and Vision Y Compromiso, a statewide organization providing training to promotores that deliver services to low-income communities.
California Consulting's Communications Director, Shasta Bell, welcomed Mary by stating:

Mary was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and is a resident of Granada Hills, CA.

California Consulting is pleased to spotlight the City of Carson. Through the direction and vision of the cities leadership, California Consulting has secured funding that:
- planted 1,440 trees to reduce green house gas
- installed rubber surfacing for recreational purposes along the Dominguez Channel Path
- aquisitioned 5 light duty emission vehicles and 3 dual charging stations
- maintained and improved Calas Park.
Carson's leadership continues to move forward with their vision to improve and promote the well being of its residents.

Team Member Spotlight
Danielle Sotello, Senior Project Manager
|
|
California Consulting is pleased to spotlight Danielle Sotelo our Senior Project Manager. Ms. Sotelo is a San Joaquin Valley native and brings over 10 years of experience in grant writing, grant administration and program development for public and private entities.
She has worked with California Consulting since 2008, and during this time she has helped to secure over $9M in funding for California Consulting clients. She has drafted and submitted many successful grant applications for different sectors, but she most enjoys writing in the areas of public safety, motorized and non-motorized transportation, urban greening, alternative fuels infrastructure, and education.
Ms. Sotelo prides herself in paying close attention to detail and has logged 100’s of hours in project management. She is committed to securing federal, state and local funding to spur environmentally and socially conscious community development both domestically and internationally.
Ms. Sotelo holds a BA in International Studies with an emphasis in Political Science and a
certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University.

Nonprofits, public school, municipality, MLB Club or American Indian Tribe. Board is looking for innovative and creative ideas to increase baseball/softball opportunities for youth (20 and under), related experience, committed staff, financial stability, business plan to attract other funders, helping underserved youth.
Foundation considers requests for a variety of purposes including funding capital projects (e.g., field renovations, baseball/softball programs and education initiatives. Capital projects include: building and renovating fields and practice facilities and installing lighting. Baseball/Softball programs include: in-school/after-school baseball/softball programming, equipment and uniforms, umpire fees, player registration fees and practice facility rental fees. Education initiatives include: programs, exhibits and other learning opportunities that use baseball and softball as its primary focus to promote interest and engagement in the game

MATCH is no less than 50% of the TOTAL PROJECT COST. In other words, MATCH can range from 50% to 99% of the TOTAL PROJECT COST.
Eligibility:
Cities, counties, Native American tribal governments, Joint Powers Authorities, Non-State agency recreation and Park districts and special districts with authority to acquire, operate, and maintain public park and recreation areas.
Projects must be acquisition or development. ACQUISITION must result in a NEW RECREATION OPPORTUNITY for the public within three years after the completion of the ACQUISITION. Only a phase that creates a fully useable recreational opportunity must be completed and open to the public within three years after the completion of the ACQUISITION. DEVELOPMENT of RECREATION FEATURES must be for outdoor recreation, not indoor recreation.
