City of Lancaster Receives $148,924 for the CalRecycle Tire Derived Product Grant
|
|
CC congratulates the City of Lancaster (a CC client) for receiving the Tire Derived Product Grant in the amount of $148,924 from CalRecycle.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City's leadership to promote the quality of life for its residents.
It’s also a reflection of the dedication and hard work by CC Project Manager, Ilya Malinski, who ensured a successful grant application.

City of Orange Cove Receives $99,775 from the California Department of Justice Attorney General's Office.

CC congratulates the City of Orange Cove (a CC client) for receiving the Tobacco Program Grant in the amount of $99,775 from the California Department of Justice Attorney General’s Office.
This funding will be used for Tobacco education for KCUSD, officer and tobacco retailer training, shoulder tap and minor decoy operations.
This latest achievement is another example of the commitment of the City’s leadership to protect and promote the quality of life for its residents.
It’s also a reflection of the dedication and hard work by CC Project Manager, Danielle Sotelo who ensured a successful grant application. Thank you, Danielle, and congratulations to the City of Orange Cove!

California Consulting Attends San Mateo County Council of Cities Dinner
|

California Consulting’s Northern California Senior Associate Stephen Sanger was pleased to be the guest of Daly City’s Vice Mayor, Glenn R. Sylvester at the San Mateo County Council of Cities dinner on October 25th. The dinner was held at Zoox headquarters in Foster City.
Zoox is currently designing a pioneering fleet of autonomous vehicles that will revolutionize the app-based ride sharing service of the future. After a presentation of Zoox’s progress a discussion began about the ways the public sector can not only collaborate with companies like Zoox, but how that collaboration can have a positive impact across all socio-economic demographics

Team Member Spotlight
Sigfrido Rivera, Project Manager
|
|
California Consulting is excited to spotlight Project Manager Sigfrido Rivera. Sigfrido brings to California Consulting 30 years of experience in grant writing, grant program administration, urban planning, land acquisition, airport land use compatibility, and public outreach at the municipal level.
Previously, during his 30-year career with the City of Ontario, Sigfrido successfully secured and implemented $126 million in federal and local grants. Before retiring from the City, he negotiated and implemented an Acquisition, Disposition and Development Agreement to build and 16-acre business park (under construction) near Ontario International Airport. Sigfrido’s extensive experience in grant writing and implementation proved instrumental in securing the grant funding to complete the voluntary property buyout phase of the project and relocate the residents from the project site. He served on the City’s Development Advisory Board and on the Ontario International Airport Noise Advisory Committee for over 10 years.
Sigfrido holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from California State University, Northridge and a Master in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is fluent in Spanish (speak, read and write).

Nonprofits, public school, municipality, MLB Club or American Indian Tribe. Board is looking for innovative and creative ideas to increase baseball/softball opportunities for youth (20 and under), related experience, committed staff, financial stability, business plan to attract other funders, helping underserved youth.
Foundation considers requests for a variety of purposes including funding capital projects (e.g., field renovations, baseball/softball programs and education initiatives. Capital projects include: building and renovating fields and practice facilities and installing lighting. Baseball/Softball programs include: in-school/after-school baseball/softball programming, equipment and uniforms, umpire fees, player registration fees and practice facility rental fees. Education initiatives include: programs, exhibits and other learning opportunities that use baseball and softball as its primary focus to promote interest and engagement in the game

Eligibility:
Owners of transit buses, school buses and shuttle buses. Administered by San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, but available statewide.
The Zero-Emission Transit, School and Shuttle Bus Project provides funding for new zero-emission replacement buses for owners of transit, school, and shuttle buses. This project mitigates excess NOx emissions, reduces pollution in disadvantaged and low-income communities, supports advanced technology vehicle and equipment deployments and accelerates the zero-emission transformation of the heavy-duty fleet.
