Message From Our 2026 Program Chair

For more than 50 years, the Cap-to-Cap program has brought leaders from across our region together with a shared purpose: to ensure that the Capital Region’s voice is heard in Washington, D.C.

This year’s delegation reflects the continued strength and momentum of that tradition. The program reached its earliest sellout in history and will convene the largest delegation ever for our 54th annual Cap-to-Cap… an incredible demonstration of the commitment across the region to show up and advocate with a united voice.

What makes this program unique is not just the meetings we hold or the policies we advance, it is the coalition of leaders who come together each year to advocate for the long-term success of our region.

It is truly an honor to serve as Chair of this year’s delegation, and I am excited to work alongside each of you as we continue this important tradition. Together, we will represent the priorities, innovation, and collaborative spirit that define the Capital Region.

I look forward to welcoming you to our Nation’s Capital next month!

Sincerely,

Terrence McNamara

General Track Information & Updates

In addition to the work of our 13 policy teams, this year’s program introduces a General Track—a new conference-style element designed to expand opportunities for learning, engagement, and connection throughout the week.

The General Track will feature a series of high-level policy briefings with federal and regional leaders, offering broader perspectives on issues impacting the Capital Region and the nation.

These sessions are open to the entire delegation.

Policy team members are encouraged to attend when schedules allow as an opportunity to hear from additional voices and deepen the conversations happening across the program.

We will continue to share schedule updates in these weekly newsletters, and the full schedule will also be available in the Guidebook app during the program.

Legacy Gala Sets Sail with a Yacht Rock Celebration

This year’s Cap-to-Cap Legacy Gala will bring a new energy to one of the delegation’s most anticipated evenings with a Yacht Rock–inspired celebration.

Rather than a traditional black-tie event, the evening will be a more relaxed dinner with multiple food stations designed to create a less formal atmosphere where guests can move around, connect, and enjoy the night together.

To repeat — this is not a black-tie event, so there’s no need to pack a tux or gown. Lean into the Yacht Rock vibe with relaxed, coastal style. Captain’s hats, boat shoes, and nautical flair are all encouraged.

Guests can still expect plenty of great food and beverages throughout the evening, along with a live Yacht Rock band.
