IN THE SPOTLIGHT: CAREER CAMP 2019

Mark your calendars, CEU's very own Career Camp is approaching soon! The Camp is a series of career development programs designed to kickstart your progress towards your career goals. Sessions are facilitated by the Careers staff and focus on the most pressing questions and topics that you may face. From longer workshops that cover specific topics in depth, to ''grab and go'' style lunch break info sessions, there is something for everyone. Just to name a few: MBTI, Networking, LinkedIn, Academic CV Writing... and many more!

Internship Funding Opportunities - Information Session
The application deadline for the Internship Support Program Fund (ISP) and Erasmus+ Internship Mobility Grant is February 1. The coordinators for both internship funds are holding a special, joint information session focused on helping applicants understand and prepare the required documents. The session will be short, with time for individuals to obtain advice on their own applications. In this panel discussion, CEU alumni and students will share their experience working with a range of UN agencies in a variety of roles. Our speakers will share information about their career paths and provide advice for CEU students interested in this career area. Please register  here .

Atlas Service Corps, Inc. (Atlas Corps), started in 2006, is an international network of civil society leaders and organizations that promotes innovation, cooperation, and solutions to address critical social issues. Atlas Corps Fellows serve full-time at Host Organizations to develop leadership skills and learn effective practices through the Atlas Corps  Global Leadership Lab professional development series and networking opportunities with other Fellows. Learn about working in the European Union institutions and in the field of EU Affairs from Andras Baneth, who has 15 years of experience in Brussels and Luxembourg and is the author of Europe's bestselling book on the EU (EPSO) exam process. The session will provide you with useful information on the EPSO application and the EU recruitment system.  While the EPSO process is open only to EU citizens, the session will also include useful information for non-EU citizens who would like to pursue careers that relate to the work of the EU.  Please make sure you register  here

Through CEU's Global Teaching Fellowship Program, a selected group of advanced CEU doctoral candidates and recent doctoral graduates have the opportunity to teach at GTFP Partner Universities for one semester or one academic year. Internship Funding Opportunities at CEU
Funding Opportunity - application deadline February 1
Two offices, CEU's Academic Cooperation and Research Office (ACRO) and the Career Services Office (CSO), administer competitive internship funds aimed at providing support to students who find internships that will allow them to gain relevant professional experience. For this round of calls, the  Erasmus+ Internship Mobility Programs  and the  Internship Support Program Fund  will accept applications for internship funding support until February 1. 

Learn & Engage Program - Fundraising Workshop
Workshop - application deadline January 20
CEU's Human Rights Initiative (HRSI) is organizing a one-day intensive workshop on fundraising.  This workshop aims to provide participants with practical skills needed to work in the non-profit sector. The workshop is recommended to those who have no or relatively little experience in fundraising. The training will be delivered by Kiry Noemi Ambrus,  a seasoned independent consultant with almost 20 years of experience working on improving the efficiency of non-profit organizations by providing innovative and integrated organisational development solutions. Explico, a public affairs consultancy based in Budapest, Hungary, is looking for a CEU student to work as a  Public Policy Intern. Preferred candidates are pursuing a degree in public policy, international relations or a related field and have knowledge of the CEE region and EU institutions.

CEU's Alumni Relations Office is seeking Phonathon  Student Callers to help during the annual Alumni Fundraising Campaign. Candidates should be full-time CEU students with the ability to work 15-20 hours per week. Knowledge of  languages such as Russian, Romanian, Slovak, Hungarian and/or Serbo-Croatian and experience in telemarketing or fundraising are considered a plus.

ECPAT, a worldwide network of organizations working to end the sexual exploitation of children, is looking for a  Network Development Support Intern based in Thailand. A master's degree in international relations, human rights or other social sciences is required.

International Innovation Corps (IIC)  is accepting applications 
for its  India Based Project Associate Program. The position is open for recent and upcoming graduates of any undergraduate or graduate degree program with excellent English proficiency.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)   is offering an  Internship  in the Communications Unit of its Regional Representation for Central Europe in Budapest, Hungary. The internship would suit candidates with studies or experience in communications, media and public outreach, campaigning and online communication.  Deadline: January 31

The Open Society Foundations is seeking a Legal Research Intern for their New York, Washington, D.C., USA and Berlin, Germany offices. The candidate must be currently enrolled in a relevant law school or graduate program.  Deadline: February 3

The  University of Pennsylvania invites graduate student researchers currently enrolled in PhD programs in all fields to apply for the  2019 Penn Summer Social Impact Doctoral Fellows Program. The program will explore emerging issues in the world of nonprofit organizations, voluntary action, philanthropy, social enterprise, and international civil society. Housing near the Penn campus and $3,000 stipends will be provided for successful fellows.  Deadline: March 15

MSCI, based in Budapest, Hungary is looking for an experienced Market Data Analyst with a background in finance, economics or data science. A bachelor's or master's degree in data science or finance and one or two years of relevant experience are required. Deadline: As soon as possible

The  Center for Institutional Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia welcomes applications for postdoctoral positions for the 2019/2020 academic year in the spheres of higher education studies, economics and sociology of education,  research policy, economic history, etc. Deadline: February 15
