This fall, the Career Services Office will publish a series of interviews featuring the internship experiences of students from different departments. This series gives you the chance to see what it is like to intern in different sectors, organizations, and geographical locations.

Participating in a traineeship with an EU institution is an excellent way to consolidate and expand professional skills and knowledge while learning about the inner workings of a specific EU body. Join the Careers in EU session and hear from CEU alumna Zsofia Patkai-Kiss (INTR '18), who is currently conducting a "blue-book" traineeship with the European Commission's Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs, and Inclusion. She will share information about the experience of applying to the program and working as a trainee at the European Commission. Register here. Internship Support Program (ISP) Info Sessions - Internship Funding
Join CEU's Academic Cooperation and Research Office (ACRO) and the Career Services Office (CSO) for an info session about two competitive internship funds aimed at providing support to students who find internships that will allow them to gain relevant professional experience. CEU alumna Maria Stanisheva (POLS '03) is a film director/producer and founder of ANIMADOCS, an independent film production house based between NYC and Paris. She will present a case-study of her experience working in various formats to create art for social change. The workshop will open up a debate about the practicalities behind film production and ways in which students can summarize and present their projects for an audience beyond the academic world. Volunteering Opportunities
Civic engagement is a good way to explore careers, apply coursework, fulfill personal values, and develop meaningful relationships and partnerships. The organizers of the Women in Data Science Budapest Conference are looking for a Junior Speaker to give a 15-minute talk in front of 400+ conference participants. Qualified candidates must identify as a woman and possess proven data science expertise and the ability to present research, tools, or models used in data science and AI for business or academia. MSCI is hosting an Open Day on Wednesday November 27 in Budapest. Students have the possibility to learn about the daily work of a number of different teams dealing with topics ranging from quant finance to the role of environmental, social, and governance factors in the financial industry. The Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) is currently accepting applications for legal, policy analyst, and technologist internships for summer 2020. Applicants should have an interest in internet and technology policy, civil liberties and/or human rights law as well as strong research and writing skills, the ability to take initiative, and a strong academic record. Women's Link is seeking interns interested in the use of law to advance human rights of women and girls, especially those facing multiple inequalities. 3-month internships can be completed either in Bogota or Madrid. A strong interest in gender justice, international law, human rights, and feminism as well as working knowledge of English or Spanish are required. Deadline: Rolling

Independent Diplomat (ID) is seeking  three paid interns to work remotely (for at least three days per week) on its Climate and/or Rohingya projects until at least mid-February 2020. One intern will be particularly focused on providing  media and social media support, while the others will assist with  research and administrative tasks. Successful applicants will demonstrate knowledge or experience relevant to Myanmar/Burma and the Rohingya or on climate diplomacy. Those interested in the media/social media role should ideally have experience in doing similar work   Deadline: Rolling  
CITI has openings for part-time Financial Analyst Interns to work in their Budapest office for 3 months during spring 2020. Interns will work either in Product Control or Regulatory Reporting. Qualified candidates are completing a BSc/MSc/PhD in economics, accounting, finance, or similar, have a sound understanding of financial products and accounting, and are interested in financial markets. World Resources Institute (WRI) India is seeking interns to work with and support their Air Quality Program in Delhi or Mumbai. Christie's, the world's leading art business, is currently accepting applications for its Graduate Trainee Programme. The program will give exposure to the workings of both the art specialist and 'enabling' departments by way of assigned rotations. A minimum 3.33 GPA degree in a business or arts related subject gained within the last two years, fluency in English, and a passion for the arts and digital innovation are required. The Academy of the Arts of the World in Cologne, Germany seeks a committed Curatorial Assistant for a part-time (20 hours/week) position from 1 December 2019 (or later) to 28 February 2021. High degree of familiarity with contemporary art scenes, extensive experience in producing texts, and familiarity with current political and cultural debates required. In addition to English and German, advanced knowledge of other languages is an advantage. Deadline: November 17
Article 19 has an opening for a Research Assistant in their Digital Team, who would ideally work in one of their regional offices (Mexico, Brazil, Senegal, Tunisia, Kenya, or Bangladesh). A successful candidate will demonstrate aptitude in communications, research and writing, exceptional organization skills, and a desire to creatively design collaborative systems. Excellent command of English required; knowledge of other relevant local languages or additional foreign languages desirable. Deadline: November 17
Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) has an opening for a part-time Project Associate in Data and Tech Politics.
A strong academic background in political science, law, computer science, or the social sciences, and a strong interest in issues at the intersection of technology and democracy, cybersecurity policy, data protection, or technology and regulation are required. Fluency in English is a must, command of German an advantage. Deadline: November 27  
Schneider Electric is currently recruiting for an entry level Commercial Analyst within their Budapest office (Schneider Electric Energy and Sustainability Services, EMEA). Degree in economics, law, procurement, business, or similar fields is desired. In addition to English, fluency in other European languages is an advantage, particularly French, German or Dutch. Frontier Economics is seeking entry level analysts for their 2020 Analyst program (multiple locations). During the two-year program analysts learn more about the working world of economics by rotating across different practices within Competition, Public Policy, Energy, Telecoms, Strategy, and Transportation and Water, working alongside highly experienced economists. A master's degree in economics, a strong interest in and understanding of micro-economics, and fluency in the native language of the country you are applying to are required.
