You Give Desperate Families HOPE

Deanna and Tiffanie grew up in foster care together and became like sisters. When they aged out, both women found themselves in abusive relationships, fearing for their children and themselves.

After making the terrifying decision to leave her boyfriend, Deanna placed her two children, Justus and Anjela, at Casa de Esperanza while she looked for safe housing. Tiffanie's husband had untreated mental illness and would not allow her to take their son to the doctor or give him medicine. Deanna encouraged Tiffanie to reach out to Casa and she did, bringing her little boy, Blaise, age two and a half, to live with us also.

Even though they had lived in domestic violence situations, the kids loved our male house parents and often chose them to hold their hand or help them with a toy. It was sweet to watch their hearts heal a little as the children grew to relax and trust our caregivers.

Your gift today will ensure a safe home for children and a chance for parents to transform their lives and provide their kids with a better future. Best of all, through December 31st, your gift will go THREE times as far, as all gifts are being tripled by our Matching Star Donors!

Dear Erika,

As we approach Thanksgiving and the holidays, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for our community who support that Casa mission. Right now, we have children in our care with significant needs. These little ones and their families have been through so much, and it takes our entire village to care for them each day. At times like this, the smallest amount of progress is cause for celebration. Each time a child learns a new word, smiles at staff, eats a full meal, or asks to play, we are overjoyed, and we share that joy with you, our committed donors and volunteers.

Every day at Casa de Esperanza is a practice in gratitude. We are grateful for the opportunity to care for children, to help families be the healthiest they can be, to work with amazing donors and volunteers and, of course, we are always grateful for the unstoppable generosity of our community.

Generous donors like you help families succeed despite the odds. I hope you are inspired by reading the story of foster sisters Deanna, Tiffanie and their children in the article above. Like so many before them, these mothers found hope and help during their most challenging days because of you. When you contribute to our annual Triple the Hope campaign, you help families like theirs find their own success stories. Thanks to generous donors, every gift made to this campaign will be matched 2:1! Thank you in advance for your gifts.

I always welcome your emails to me with any questions you have or to schedule a visit. Wishing you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving and holiday season.
