RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
BUSINESS AFTER HOURS EVENT
Join us Thursday May 20th starting at 5:30pm.
We will start the evening off with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for their Grand Reopening, and then Wilkesboro Mini-Golf, Games & Arcade will be hosting our first Business After Hours Event for the year!!!

To Recognize the importance of Wilkes Small Businesses, Wilkes Chamber is hosting a lunch event starting at noon on Wednesday, June 2nd at the Yadkin Valley Marketplace.  Featured guest speakers include North Carolina Rural Center President, Patrick Woodie, and Miles Kirksey, Advocacy Engagement Coordinator.  We invite you to attend this outdoor event to gain insight on the Rural Center’s “A Pathway to Prosperity for All,” as they launch a Statewide Coalition to Support Small Business Owners.

The Chamber is helping facilitate the "We Want You Back" campaign. Terri Parsons started the campaign to show our local support of bringing life back to the North Wilkesboro Speedway.

SBA NEWS RELEASE
Application Opening for $28.6 Billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund...
WASHINGTON - SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman today announced the U.S. Small Business Administration will begin registrations on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 9 a.m. EDT and open applications on Monday, May 3, 2021, at noon EDT for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. The online application will remain open to any eligible establishment until all funds are exhausted. 

2020 Census Results
States, as well as the public, will receive the data they need to begin redistricting by August 16. The Census Bureau will also deliver the final redistricting data toolkit to all states and the public by September 30. COVID-19-related delays and prioritizing the delivery of these apportionment results delayed our original plan.

SBCN Event Schedule
The Small Business Center at Wilkes Community College is a member of the Small Business Center Network of North Carolina (SBCN).

The Mission of the SBCN is to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in North Carolina by providing high quality, readily accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners which will lead to job creation and retention.

Our Center provides small business owners, both new and existing, with the information they need for starting or expanding a small business through confidential, one-on-one business coaching along with a wide variety of seminars, workshops and a resource center all at little or no cost.
