This year's Minuteman Service Award will be presented to Lt Colonel (Ret.) Dick and Christine Moody, founders of Operation Troop Support. This Danvers-based nonprofit has shipped more than 1.5 million care packages to troops all over the world.

Keynote Speaker Kris Paronto was part of the elite security team guarding the CIA annex during the 2012 Benghazi attack. His story is captured in the book and movie “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.” Paronto will offer a firsthand account of what happened on the ground during the 2012 Benghazi attack.

The law firm of McLane Middleton recently announced that six of its attorneys were selected for inclusion in the 2025 edition of Massachusetts Super Lawyers®.
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The patented selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
The lawyers selected for inclusion from McLane Middleton along with their primary practice area are John D. Colucci (Business/Corporate) and John F. Weaver (Real Estate), both of the Woburn office; and Shiva Karimi (Immigration: Business) from the Boston office.
In addition, the following lawyers were named 2025 Massachusetts Rising Stars: Whitney A. Gagnon (Estate & Probate), Renay Hamilton (Business/Corporate), and Phil L. Tizzano (Estate & Probate).

$2.5 MILLION EMPLOYER CHILD CARE INNOVATION FUND LAUNCH

The Healey-Driscoll Administration has launched a pilot program helping Massachusetts employers expand access to affordable, high-quality child care for working families. The fund is being administered by Commonwealth Corporation Foundation, in partnership with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), the Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED), and the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD). Employers and community organizations are invited to test innovative solutions that support families and strengthen the workforce.
Who can apply? Employers in Massachusetts; licensed nonprofit child care providers; and nonprofit intermediaries, like chambers of commerce, community foundations, and community colleges.
Projects can include tuition benefits for employees; shared-cost child care models; expanding or reserving child care seats; on-site or near-site child care facilities; or flexible schedules and Dependent Care Assistance Plans.
Expressions of Interest for this competitive matching fund are due Nov. 3, 2025, by 4 p.m.

Allstates Business Solutions is partnering with North Shore Wellnesspreneurs for the North Shore Health & Wellness Expo on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Topsfield Fairground.
