Development Director

Why did you get involved with CYP? To be more involved with the business community and to spread awareness about Big Brothers Big Sisters.
How long have you been with your current company?  What makes it a great place to work? I’ve been with Big Brothers Big Sisters for a year and a half. It’s a great place to work because community involvement is encouraged, and I get to work with great people who make a positive impact in the lives of local at-risk kids.
If you have one piece of advice to give to other young professionals, what would it be? Find ways outside of work to serve your community!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Reading, spending time with friends, and watching sporting events.
Human Trafficking: Training is Required in Florida
On June 26, Gov. DeSantis  signed  HB  851 , which requires training regarding human trafficking for certain hospitality workers by January 1, 2021. FRLA currently offers free online training designed specifically to educate Florida's hospitality workers about the signs of trafficking and what to do when trafficking is suspected. We encourage you to take  this training  and help keep Florida safe for all who come here.
Get Your Barrier Island Re-Entry Pass
The Barrier Island Re-Entry Program was established to keep beach areas safe in the aftermath of a hurricane or tropical storm. We want only those people who own property on the beach to be able to access the area after such an incident. All Clearwater Beach residents and business owners, including Sand Key and Island Estates, need to register with the program to receive their assigned Emergency Access permits.

State funding promises to turn up volume on regional transit solutions

After more than a decade in operation, the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority is now emerging as a key player in the region’s efforts to fight congestion with public transportation.

The agency, known as TBARTA, is currently overseeing the planning processes for two significant initiatives: The proposed bus rapid transit system along Interstate 275 from Wesley Chapel to St. Petersburg and Envision 2030, a 10-year plan of priority transit improvements across Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, and Pinellas counties.

State regulators float new rules in hospital wars

Eliminating the certificate of need program for hospitals may have been the easy part, but how to license them in the future may be more complex.

Tallahassee health-care regulators on Wednesday started the layered process of reshaping the state’s certificate of need program, moving ahead to focus it on nursing homes, hospices, and institutions for individuals with developmental disabilities.

But the proposed changes to the CON rules are only the beginning of a two-step process for Florida hospitals, as the Agency for Health Care Administration simultaneously moves to change the licensure requirements for hospitals .

The Ring Workspaces
“The natural environment inspired the work space we built, our personal and professional life experiences shaped the way in which we wanted to work.”

The Ring is a space of distinct perspectives, where nature, people and technology converge to form a balanced, shared and efficient ecosystem. Co-founders Daniels and Simee Ikajevs envisioned an eco-friendly and integrated work environment that would improve the overall health, performance and roductivity of working professionals. The logic was simple, if you feel great, you can accomplish anything.

We are creating a community and building spaces where businesses thrive and determination separates the good from the great.
