July 2023 Member of the Month:
Captain Renee Peterson
| |
| |
This month we are recognizing, Captain Renee Peterson, as the 2023 Chair of the Leadership Fort Lauderdale Class 29 program. When asked about how her Chamber journey started, “The Broward Sheriff’s Office has been a long-standing supportive member, and in 2017, I was selected to join the Special Events and Logistics Unit. It was at this time I started my involvement with the Chamber and went on to become a graduate of Leadership Fort Lauderdale Class 25,” Peterson said. “Through my engagement with the program, I saw many opportunities to engage with local business and non-profit leaders, to gain a different perspective on community concerns while asking how BSO could continue to educate the business community on the various ways to report crimes and make their workplace safer,” She added.
