Women’s Council CPR Series Luncheon

There are many formulas for building a brand. Attendees of today's Women's Council Luncheon were able to get top-tier strategy and honest tips on developing their individual brands effectively from our guest speakers Jessica Grenat, Robin Diamond, and Graciela Laurent.

GLBX & Racial Equity Councils Meet

to Discuss Florida Legislation

Chamber leaders held a focus group recently to review the potential economic impact of state legislation. Reducing talent and increased training were but two areas discussed. The review was hosted by GLBX and Racial Equity Councils.

“We had a great meeting with some of our chamber members to discuss the impact of recent legislation that’s come down. We’re really grateful to those participants and we’re going to gather the data. Looking forward to working with our fellow chamber members and collecting data to see how this legislation is impacting our businesses,” Anthony Abbate said.

Last week, the Greater West Broward Business Council invited all to support Entretapas Spanish Restaurant through the Biz West After-Hours Mixer.

Chamber members were treated to the Marlins vs Detroit Tigers game at LoanDepot Stadium. The stadium saw a record attendance of more than 32,000 people! Chamber members and associates took pictures on the field while enjoying a close game that ended in a 6-8 Marlins loss. Despite the loss, all chamber attendees enjoyed this time to sit back and enjoy some good old-fashioned South Florida sports. Some members even took this time to experience convenient travel by Brightline; “The Brightline is very well run, and very nice! A lot of people are worried about going out because of the all the digital requirements. However, the Brightline was great in assisting us with the digital needs for the event," Ron Szpatura said.

Nominees for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Healthcare Awards are those individuals, programs and entities who provide care, services and innovative programs above and beyond all expectations. These nominees are shining examples of the best and the brightest in our healthcare community. Awards will be presented on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Perspectives on Florida's Healthcare program presented by Broward Health at the Signature Grand. All awardees will be notified by Chamber staff or a member of the Healthcare Council.
