Kelley Shanley, Stepping Down as Broward Center for the Performing Arts' President & CEO

After nearly 25 years with the organization, and 15 years as CEO, Kelley Shanley has made the decision to step down from his position as the Broward Center’s President and CEO in March of 2024.

"It has always been difficult to imagine leaving this great organization and it’s certainly not a decision I’ve come to quickly or lightly. But now, as audiences have returned in force, with a very talented and experienced team in place, and a new Parker we can all be proud of, the Broward Center is well positioned for a future with great promise. This felt like the right time for me, and for the organization, to make this transition," says Shanley. "It has been a true privilege to work with such a passionate, talented, and dedicated staff and crew. They do such an amazing job creating memorable experiences for artists, audiences, students, and each other."

They also shed light on how the blue economy drives economic growth, fosters a healthy ecosystem, and cultivates thriving communities.

MSC Announces Port Rotation Change on

Santana Service to Port Everglades

We’re excited that MSC has chosen Port Everglades for its Santana Service, which connects Southeast Asia to our Port as the first U.S. stop on the around-the-world route.

MSC cited these qualities for selecting Port Everglades as its South Florida port of call:

• Service Reliability: fast berthing supports vessel schedule reliability.

• Fluid Terminal Operations: sufficient storage space and efficient gate systems allow for easy pick-up and empty return.

• Cost-Savings: importers can depend upon timely availability and access to cargo.

• Favorable Geographic Location: close access to major distribution centers serving
