Regional Defence Investment Initiative

PacifiCan is launching the Regional Defence Investment Initiative (RDII) in early 2026. Through RDII, PacifiCan will invest $63.1 million to help B.C.'s small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) grow by integrating into domestic and international defence supply chains, building their capacity, and driving homegrown innovation.

The RDII is a $357.7 million, three-year national initiative delivered by Canada’s Regional Development Agencies, including PacifiCan, to ensure that Canadian businesses have the tools, technologies, and opportunities needed to meet the security needs of tomorrow.

By investing in our SMBs, PacifiCan, on behalf of the Government of Canada, will boost our ability to Buy Canadian and help BC companies access global market opportunities, while contributing to Canada's defence ambitions.
