Greetings!

I hope that you’re doing well and enjoyed the July 4th holiday!

If you’re a prostate cancer survivor and interested in helping to advance the progress of prostate cancer research to help conquer the disease, consider volunteering as a consumer reviewer with the Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) of the Department of Defense (DoD) Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).

Consumer reviewers represent the voice of the prostate cancer community. Each year, both novice and experienced consumers serve on peer panels, together with scientists, to review research applications submitted for funding.

If you’re interested in submitting your application, please CLICK HERE and complete the PCRP e-nomination form. Email it to gayle.sutch@csra.com and to me, Chuck Strand, CEO of Us TOO International Prostate Cancer Education & Support Network, at chuck@ustoo.org. I will draft and submit a nomination letter on your behalf, which is required as part of the application by the DoD.

Nomination materials need to be sent by Monday, July 31, 2017.

Previously nominated (experienced consumer reviewers) do NOT need to be nominated to serve again.

For more information about the DoD CDMRP program, including research highlights and consumer stories,  CLICK HERE.

On behalf of the prostate cancer community, thank you for considering this opportunity to become a consumer reviewer for the DoD PCRP.

All the best,

Chuck Strand
