Assistant Director of Development, Annual Giving
Latin School of Chicago
The nature of my role at the Latin School of Chicago is to help retain donors by developing marketing strategies and engaging content. I also collaborate with the Associate Director of Development, Annual Giving, to create and implement the annual giving program plan.
I've had the privilege of serving with several organizations across Chicago. I want to gain the most out of every interaction in the Fellows Program by being present and opening my mind and heart to those around me. As a professional, I strive to bring humanity to the forefront and honor human connections. Intrinsically that is what makes me better as a fundraiser and a person.

Spring 2022 Peer Mentoring Class Announcement
|
|
The AFP Chicago Peer Mentoring Committee is pleased to announce the launch of the Spring 2022 Class. The thirteen pairs include early- and mid-career protégés who are each matched with a mentor who has several years of professional fundraising experience. Three are mentors for the first time and ten are returning mentors. Together, mentors have over 250 years of collective experience in fundraising! Mentors and protégés in this class represent the diversity of our profession across non-profit sectors, including higher education, basic human needs programs and research, religious congregations, disability rights advocacy and programming, healthcare, museums, public media, professional associations, and fundraising consulting.
Mentors and protégés will work together over the next year to identify areas of professional growth and explore career pathways for the protégés. Mentors are AFP members who offer their time, experience, and network of fellow fundraisers to the protégés with whom they have been matched. In making the matches, the Peer Mentoring Committee considers areas of professional expertise, career aspirations, and sector experience within Chicago’s diverse non-profit community.
The Peer Mentoring Committee hosted a virtual kickoff event on March 25 to introduce all members of the class to the program and one another. The protégés’ networks are already growing!
For more information about joining the Peer Mentoring Committee or becoming a protégé or mentor in the Fall 2022 class, contact Christopher Chantson or Jennifer Dettloff, Committee Co-Chairs.
